If it is anon then how would you or anyone for that matter know if you assisted in money laundering...

3. "I read the PoSA explanatory non-technical PDF, I think it's really cool. What if my coins get exchanged with a criminal or terrorist organisation while they're being cloaked? Have I committed a money laundering crime?"

+1 absolutely essential stuff.

Also, with anonymity there is a thin line between exercising my right of privacy and money laundering (question 3). This needs to be addressed for crypto enthousiasts as well.

Answer to 3:

Your coins might get exchanged with terrorist organizations, santa claus, red cross, smugglers, tobacco wholesalers, weed merchants, or just as well the normal average person. You just don't know, and nobody else does either ! That is the attraction of this coin.

- If you do not deliberately use cloakcoin for money laundering, then you haven't committed a crime.
- If someone uses your coins for their money laundering, you haven't committed a crime, as you have no idea with whom you have dealt with. Nobody else will know either.
- If you use your cloakcoins just for the purpose of money laundering, then of course you have committed a crime. But only if you get caught Wink However, if you do not keep a record book of your transactions in a pen and paper format, and remember to change wallets, computers, ip addresses etc and destroy wallets from time to time, nobody will ever catch your money laundering, and you are safe. However, the tricky part is of course the cloak/btc/fiat transfer, which will eventually leave traces of you and your massive hoard of illegal money...unless you use a decoy.  So in essence for this to be bulletproof we need worldwide btc ATM's that spill out fiat notes... someone please do this asap? Guaranteed profits... 1% withdrawal fee for example...

- So if I was at some time in my life attempting money laundering, cloak coin would be a good choice.. (as well as opening a pizzeria or a 2nd hand store)

I hope this clarifies things...

Thank you for such a high quality post.  You are an asset to the crypto community.

nsimmons, typical FUDer.  Look at all his previous posts.  This guy is probably accumulating.  I swear, all the FUD we've received in the past weeks makes it sooo much easier to spot and see through them now.  Thanks for desensitizing the Cloak community and making us stronger.

cloak is getting dumped like a fat chick!!!

I am convinced this coin is a scam and they will milk it for a little while longer. This coin has been connected to ip's linked to molecule, versioncoin, shibecoin. Using the same registrar, enom, and the same server provider, digital ocean for every coin. Their newest scam is theorem coin.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731983.0

Even the same style from every post from the dev, centered large bold letters. They have gotten wise though, and used fresh ips this time, but still used enom and digital ocean.

Check the ips for yourself. Google your seed nodes. Check the source code for version coin, why does it have a cloak seed in it?
Why are seed2.versioncoin.com and seed.moleculecoin.com the same ip?
Quit giving these fucks your money.

Yeh bro, im sure they went through all the months off developing and releasing a working product and then continue working to release newer products just so they can dump their non existent premine.

Go look at this FUD'sters posts, he is another DRK fanboy thats posting bullshit here cus he knows CLOAK has achieved what DRK couldn't figure out in almost a year.

Keep your bullshit allegations to yourself or come back with some real proof.

nsimmons ran out of FUD and had to reuse FUD posts from over a week ago lol.  Seen a similar post already awhile back, thanks. Already has been addressed in Cloak IRC.  Guess we won't be seeing you in there with your concerns though, since the only interaction you have with Cloak is to FUD on BCT.

Just a question: did anyone ever take the effort to check the IPs and the source BEFORE claiming FUD?

I'd either say "you can download it on cloaktalk.org" or just "download it on cloaktalk.org".

Also, the electricity socket doesn't match the wall's direction in terms of 3D Smiley
I'd also let the brochures throw a decent shadow on the floor (a bit bigger, but softer, the fading out kind of shadow, because as the floor behaves in terms of light/shadow, it seems there is a soft light source somewhere, but the shadows of the brochures seem to stem from a spotlight), so they don't look like flying around in the room, same with the walls (a light shadow just at the edges from the walls to the floor - like the one you see when you look at those edges in any room when the light is spread quite evenly).

Sorry, I don't mean to bash your work (I really don't!), but I'm working with graphics designers almost every day, so I notice such things Smiley

Not to FUD or anything, but I sent 1k in cloak over an hour ago and still 0 confirmations. I have very low connectivity (4 active connections) and the blockchain website is down. Should I be worried?

The market is properly reflecting a white paper made with crayons. The floor fell out seconds after the pdf was posted.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX-7BlRc_a0

Troll harder man. It's not a whitepaper. Nor did development claim it was a whitepaper. It's a introduction for the non-technical. I assure you all your idiotic posts on this thread have exactly zero influence on anybody with a modicum of intelligence.

It's well done and great for anybody interested in learning more about Cloak, but not savvy in the space.

What does this say?

http://cloakdesk.com/posa-v2-block-escrow-whitepaper/

I'd be concerned that your dev doesn't know what a white paper is.

last page even dogecoin on it....

@JORR

Holding good coin bought at bottom usually means PROFIT.  Wink

Selling at bottom is always bad move.
Like buying at high but idk if you bought at high, i hope you bought before main pump at low prices.

Yes I know that BTC is going down, but come on, only 50$ in 3d, this is just few %.

Bagholders you say? Smiley if someone bought at 200-300k-.. level, yes, this is nothing fun, but at bottom, it doesn't make much difference in mid if you bought at 110k or 90k. Buying at bottom after sell-off is always good move, it's classic good trader skill, to buy at bottom, wait maybe even few eeks.. but own cheap coins...

Crypto market is like amazing Blonde Girl that you need hard work to know well and explore and sometimes it's not easy.

But reward is always worth this game Cheesy.

..and the "game" is not gambling, it's more like hard work.

how is the buying at the bottom going? looks like you're facing big loss, or already panic sold?

So when does the seednode link to the devs?
Any person that is mining the coin and running wallet is acting as a seednode.
Also, who are those A and B people, why they are hiding their indentity?
