This thread serves no purpose but for FUD. Have an idea, what if closing the thread, BUT only post announcements. So lock the thread only for admin to post new features or announcements with the redirection to the cloaktalk thread.
This way if people want to talk about cloakcoin, they can on that thread, and will minimize those looking to chase the bitcoin and influence they have fudding on this forum. It's then not dead, but would be used for announcments.
It's just a thought to be considered, this way there is still a presence here, but formal conversations will have to move to new platform.
I had to wade through few pages of nonesense just to get to important updates, and no talk about coin, or future of coin, marketing, uses for Onemarket. It's useless here.
Something to ponder about if nothing else.

Closing the thread would not help. There would be other threads instead claiming to be official/new official and still BCT is where many, if not most, of the users find the altcoins to invest in. Instead we should get this thread moderated and cleansed of the irrelevant stuff.
I am pretty sure shutting down the thread would harm CLOAK more than keeping it up and updated.

If anyone is wondering why Crypto has a problem getting new money it's because of this piss poor discussion platform. The btctalk mods only care about bitcoin and ad revenue - that's why they allow people to troll here with newbie accounts. New investors come here looking for news and innovation, instead they find 17 yr olds FUDtrolling real development projects with gifs and memes. The forum should really be called cryptogag because you get about the same news here as you will from www.9gag.comThere needs to be a concerted effort from all the real development projects who use bitcointalk to boycott this platform as a serious hub for altcrypto. Let this stay the platform for the altcoin factories and let the real development projects move away from it. If you want to help cloak move your discussions over to www.cloaktalk.org, every post you make here gives this cesspool more credibility. |

Look, part of the reason the FUD has been insane is because you had a pump and dump crew come into this coin at the beginning, and go around trash talking in like every other coin thread at the time. So what do you expect. Of course they are going to come and dish it back.
I still think we will have a small rebound and then price will drift downwards slowly through September. This a long term hold, like 3-6 months. The dev team has a whole pipeline of stuff and they have continued to deliver. I think if you have the patience to accumulate and participate, this is going to explode a ways down the road.
I don't think we've seen a "real" appreciation in value yet.
In the meantime, instead of looking to lock threads etc. etc., my unsolicited advice would be to start self-organizing as a community and doing ancillary projects that help to build the ecosystem. Its late summer for most of the world now, things are slow, it is a great time to do infrastructure projects and build things to have them ready for the return of capital in the fall. Take the load off the devs so they can focus on doing what they do - dev things.
You know what would be awesome, is if someone set up some kind of site to organize and track community projects. Something visual.
Just a suggestion.
