Alts including ether are indeed driving the BTC price (not the other way around like most are suggesting - however there is surely a feedback loop in play). The last few months there have been some epically pumped coins with dumps worth millions. The players cash their winnings back to fiat and the BTC price gets pushed down.
When the next wave of popular alts arrives these players will again buy BTC to come into the zone again, creating more demand for BTC. Really we're desperate for unique innovation in alts, market is rejecting anon coins now.
All money must flow through BTC first. BTC is the hive-queen, sharing the same blood which ties all alts together.

Maybe one possible way to succeed is Onemarket - the service must be free for all - display Advertisement on onemarket - the possibility of paid advertising with Cloak coins in the preferred course - these funds from ads must go to the Marketing Fund - a fund must be used for more and more promotion Cloak and repeat. The question who will manage the fund? can such a model work? I do not know, what do you think?

i bought yesterday at 90K, big mistake! today I sold it again, btc going lower
If it helps you, I bought at 240k few days ago. I don't know why, I was so stupid Are you gonna buy or sell now? I started with CLOAK when it was ~300-340, knowing it was high, but the "volatility" was kind of appealing. Bought and sold at the right times, so now my CLOAKs have a slightly lower BTC value than when i entered the market. As all coins, also CLOAK will go up and down. Just relax, don't panic and consider carefully if you really want to exit now.

You should suggest this on Cloaktalk , because of the steady flow of fud here TheDagger earlier said that announcements will be there as well.

Yeah I had a few buys low and kept buying as it was rising, if I was to sell all my cloak now I would take an 11BTC loss. So I am certainly not doing that

Update:
PoSA v2 paper is almost ready just getting some finishing touches made to it.
Later on today it will be posted on www.cloaktalk.org as we aim to encourage community interaction outside of bitcointalk. In other words its time to move away from this toxic hell hole. Yea time to move

posted 14 days ago.... Thanks for the ride guys . Bought from 6000sat all the way up to 19000sat. Sold 1/4 at 79000sat and I had to sell the rest today avg 168000sat. Its been a great 41btc profit and to be honest CLOAK was always a speculative play. As per my investment rules 75% of that goes to my core holdings of VRC, SFR, QOR, MYR, XC, XCP...plus 3 more I am still accumulating. All of the above I consider potential Wall Street takeover candidates. Thats it in a 'sea of sh!tcoins' as you boys say. Anyone know any serious coins besides the 6+3 I'm already in please PM me the scam made it up to 370000sat.....amazing....ploughed 75% of profits into mostly VIA, SFR and now VRC...the other 25% into the rest
VRC = -85% SFR = -35% MYR = -55% XC = -53% Cloak = -79% Really dude? Your investments honestly suck ass. If you put your profit from Cloak into those shit bags, you're down as well. You are not fooling anyone but yourself... Your 41BTC profit equates to SHIT since all of your crapcoins are down. For the record, even with the plunge, some of us holding Cloak are STILL WAY UP, myself included... Just because I didn't jump off at the all time high to make a quick return like you, doesn't mean I'm not ahead! You may be good as a daytrader but long term you are going to lose it all.

Tell us in public please, who sold at loss in panic at so low? :-) (...)
i sold at 160K, 120K and today i dumped all my remaining cloak at 70K. @Jorr How much today? Rest today = small % of all bag I hope? 2K today ( around 60 %) i bought yesterday at 90K, big mistake! today I sold it again, btc going lower
Classic noob action: sell low, rebuy higher/sell again low. "profit" lol Sorry but tbh people are so stupid. I know that trading is not easy but this so stupid... Sell at low, rebuy higher and next day sold again lower (!) only because "it's not going up".... To trading you need to use BRAIN. It's obvious that Cloak price after few days dump won't go up fast, need stabilisation (which takes more than few hours or 1-2d...). To earn money in crypto you need to use brain alltime, trading like that is really throwing money to toilet. Now you'll probably blame coin, if so - this so stupid that I don't have words to desribe it. Blame only your weak trading skills. Please always look at chart before buy/sell and do your own analysis of situation and work with your own tactic. Good luck.

@JORR Holding good coin bought at bottom usually means PROFIT. Selling at bottom is always bad move. Like buying at high but idk if you bought at high, i hope you bought before main pump at low prices. Yes I know that BTC is going down, but come on, only 50$ in 3d, this is just few %. Bagholders you say? if someone bought at 200-300k-.. level, yes, this is nothing fun, but at bottom, it doesn't make much difference in mid if you bought at 110k or 90k. Buying at bottom after sell-off is always good move, it's classic good trader skill, to buy at bottom, wait maybe even few eeks.. but own cheap coins... Crypto market is like amazing Blonde Girl that you need hard work to know well and explore and sometimes it's not easy.
But reward is always worth this game .
..and the "game" is not gambling, it's more like hard work.

Looks like you are getting a bunch of orphans. Doesn't necessarily mean the wallet is messed up.
Are you connected to POSA? Perhaps if so, turn POSA off and see if that resolves the issue. Then you would just be staking...

I had the same issue, it would also crash/stop responding a lot. I saw in the IRC to type posa=0 in conf file. Its been around 24 hours and have not had a crash and it's been staking normally. The only thing though is that I'm not longer avail as a posa node.
