Sidiberd seems to be resurrecting coins via community interaction. Something that developers should have been doing themselves. You'll notice the coins that have success usually have hundreds of pages of investors asking questions and receiving credible answers from the devs. An excellent move to bring him/her on board.
I just downloaded the new wallet and it synced immediately. The wallet still has not provided any staking as of yet and when I try to use the social IRC the wallet closes. Hope that helps in some way and Harmony starts to build some momentum. Keep it up and you'll see the value of HMY come back to where it should be.
I am having the same issue. When I try to join the IRC channel through the wallet it crashes and I need to force close it. |

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Good morning all,
I have been working hard lately to bring together the fusion we need for this coin to succeed and will be announcing a lot very soon; this all looks very promising.
I just need CryptoAdvisor to arrange and confirm a few details before i officially announce that I am the lead member of this coin and that it is now under my responsibility. He hasn't responded yesterday but i hope he will today so that we launch harmony altogether once and for all with no more delays and bumps along the road.
I'm sure you'll all be happy soon: keep the spirit going, have faith and believe. I am doing everything i can for harmony to succeed.

Good Evening,
I have just had a long conversation with CryptoAdvisor and Triplef regarding the development of this coin, multipool, marketting, communication and even the business side. We have identified the shortcomings of this project, and we have now redirected it into the right path (more details will be made clear soon).
Fernand0x has promised to bring out the new wallet with the blockexplorer and irc on early this week to be tested (probably tomorrow, that's what he mentioned). On the other hand, triplef is working hard on the multipool and things are advancing fast, he will be posting here the short/medium/long-term plans for the multipool and will soon be bringing back the multipool working; a much better one than the previous one too.
Once the wallets released and the multipool working, Crypto Advisor and I will start the marketing and enhance the communication for harmony. At this point (which should be this coming week), we will have some great announcements for you guys. For the moment, i will not speak until i am sure about what i'm about to promise.
All i have to say is that I will not let you guys down and a lot more is going to happen in the next 2 weeks.
Will there be more bounties (e.g. logo redesign, marketing efforts, coin reviews, price stabilization program) for the community? Everything you've mentioned is currently in the list of things we're aspiring to do for this coin to succeed. Please continue to share your ideas/wishes and what you would like to see in harmony. This is what we need: for everyone to participate and for us see what you guys want and think this coin needs. Our job is to take all your ideas into consideration, organise things for this coin to succeed and more than anything to deliver. Even constructive criticism is welcomed. |

This is what we need: for everyone to participate and for us see what you guys want and think this coin needs. Our job is to take all your ideas into consideration, organise things for this coin to succeed and more than anything to deliver. Even constructive criticism is welcomed.
Well for once i think just doing ''something'' is a good start. There are plenty of things that could be done , adding a bunch of features , some kind of anon is a good start even if that market is pretty crowded already.. And a lot of empty promises on that end too for that matter. Still think the DRK approach is the most interesting even if it have been a difficult process, and maybe the hardest to implement. But there are other tech around. Otherway i don't know .. having something like Veribit where you can use HMY to buy directly things you could buy with BTC is a good thing to have from the wallet. Being able to buy HMY directly from the wallet is a good thing too. Mobile wallets that can stake and so on .. |

What happened to the 4 Founding Members (CryptoAdvisor, Fernand0x, Triplef and RayHernandez) of this coin? They did an ICO and collected over $15,000 in revenues, so I am assuming that they are still working somehow, somewhere? A multipool was built in the beginning and then a weak wallet where the IRC never worked. I'm questioning how much can $15,000 get you in features towards a coin. Maybe a running Website? Maybe a nicer looking wallet with much better features? Maybe more marketing, more twitting, more hyping? What are the plans from here forward, not just "wait and see", something concrete as in putting time and effort into the coin so that it is up to par with current generations. Whatever happened to the bounties? When was the last time the original post was updated? It's been the same since god knows when.
In summary:
1) Build a Website (Isn't RayHernandez the Head Graphic Designer and Head UI Specialist, put him to work, build something classy)
2) Get the multipool. Been too long since it's been down.
3) More features for the wallet (Fix IRC).
4) Get involved (Marketing).
5) Make good use of the money, if you cant do it, offer bounties (Including all of the above).
I personally do follow @CryptoAdvisor and @fernand0x on Twitter, and to be honest there is zero twitting about #HMY. There seems to be zero progress on this coin, a forgotten diamond waiting to be polished. By the way, it will always be hard for altcoins on any given day, this should not stop progress. Everyday there should be progress, even if it's a simple "We have just tested something for the wallet bla bla" message here.

It is with great pleasure that i am announcing that i have now officially accepted the lead role in order to try and take HarmonyCoin to new heights. I am sorry for the delay, but i have had to prepare myself for this and analyse and discuss every single detail. We will be making major implementations and changes to HarmonyCoin, and although the team will be dedicated and ambitious it takes all of us as one united community to reach the maximum potential. Here is what we are looking to achieve in the next 10 days:
1) Tor Anonymity. This without any doubt is a priority and it seems that everyone in the community believes so too. It will be implemented next Monday (in a week).
2) Tor Nodes. CryptoAdvisor will post in the coming three days about tor nodes which are needed for testing tor anonymity and for it to work. He is responsible for this and he told me he will need the community to participate. By friday, tor nodes should be working.
3) Multipool. Triplef is working hard to bring it back up and he is close to finishing it, by next wednesday the multipool should be working with a whole lot of new features including automatic payouts. He will be posting soon in this thread about the new developments of the multipool and all the extra information.
4) We need a new website, and we are ready to listen to offers about it. We need a high quality website, something very polished so send us a private message if you want to take on the job. The bounty at the moment is 0.25 btc for anybody interested, but please talk to us before so we agree on the details. If you think you deserve more than just 0.25 btc send us a message to the HarmonyCoin BCT account; we will listen to offers.
5) Logo Contest. We are also looking to organise a logo contest. More details will be posted soon.
6) Irc wallet problem. The irc problem with the new wallet will be solved in the coming days.
7) Team. We have brought in two new experienced members to the team to accelerate the development of the coin and DailyModo has left us.

On top of what Sid announced that we're doing, we need a couple people who might be willing to setup an run tor nodes. We need this for testing the tor, so if anyone thinks they could help out there please message us. Fernand0x is looking into the irc issue on the wallet, and I've been told he plans to add access to exchange trading in the wallet.

I'm sorry to say that I am taking a break from cryptos. I will take a break for at least 30 days, but maybe longer. My previous attempt at a coin plus this attempt at something has put so much stress and caused so much anxiety that I am having affects on my health and mind; I just can't do all this right now.
This coin was originally designed to give the YinCoin and YangCoin community a way to get out of those and into something new. The goal was to create something where they could recoup some of their losses, and help be a part of a coin with a brighter future. Although the ICO total was around 42btc, the actual amount put in from investors was much less. We put in about 20btc, and I gave about 10btc to yincoin & yangcoin users to buy into the ICO (they can confirm). Then on top of that I paid 3btc for the coin to be developed, so ultimately there is barely funds to sustain the coin.
The biggest issue is that Fernand0x had to leave for about 3 weeks due to his marriage and honeymoon. I am very happy for him, and he is a terrific trustworthy dev, but this killed the coin before it could take off because it happened right after launch. Not having developments for nearly 21 days, took out most people interested in the coin, and hurt the price. Any attempt to raise the price after, when we did release stuff in the multipool, quickly got dumped down.
Because most support left the coin, and we didn't have many funds to work on developments, this became more of a side project for the two devs we had. I was still focused on this coin to the extent I could be, but had trouble getting the team to put in any time to developments for the coin. Sidiberd stepped up from the community, and agreed to take a lead position in the coin. He worked towards getting a tor anon implemented for 1.3btc, and set goals for other tasks to accomplish such as a website. Things with the coin were turning around a bit, but still there is barely any interest in the coin and we consistently only have about 5-8 guys posting in here every few days which is pretty sad.
In regards to the anon, Sidiberd would not let me talk to the dev he found to do it, so I was hesitant to pay 1.3btc for it. Ultimately I agree to pay 1.1btc for a completed anon, and from what I've been told, it is ready. I also told Sidiberd I would pay .3btc for a website. I know he worked hard to find someone, but could not find one for that price. I am now willing to pay up to .4btc max for a website. Sidiberd tried to help this coin, and put in a lot of work on it, but him and myself have disagreements in how much certain features should cost to be developed. The biggest issue is the dev, this coin currently does not have a developer who will commit time to it, and I have told Sidiberd that the only way would be to find a new dev.
Although Sidiberd has done terrific for the coin, he will be stepping down because I did not agree to give him control of the ICO funds and how they should be used. He has also told me that he will not be involved in the coin's revival unless he has the ICO.
I will also be stepping down from the coin during my break, but I am still willing to pay for the anon and the website, so if the community revives the coin contact me on twitter. When I post this statement I will lock this thread, but I strongly encourage the community, if they are serious, to open a new thread and find a new dev. I also encourage you to contact sidiberd if you do, and inquire about the tor anon. The logo contest is a step in the right direction, and I hope when I come back that Harmony is back alive and making some noise.

This is Sidiberd now. I have regained control of this account. I am furious at what cryptoadvisor has done and to me it is now 99.99% clear that he is a THIEF. What we had agreed on is I would not get any funds until I delivered and that if he could find someone to do it for cheaper he does it else he lets me take care of it. So all the talk about him not meeting my dev is bullshit and irrelevant.

You guys can all see how shady and fucked up all of this is. You do not just send yourself 20 BTC and then get the BTC and the HMY. Had the price of HMY gone up would they have claimed all of this? Why the fuck give ying/yangcoin users 10BTC of our money? this was never declared originally. These two actions would get him into prison in real life.
I had previously turned a blind eye to all of that but now he has screwed me over. I have now lost my BTC for tor... What on earth is this retarded tactic of just shutting off all communication...
So basically what he has said is goodbye and I am taking the ICO money and fuck us all.
If this is not your intention then give someone from the community the money and let us take care of this coin
To the community. If you guys want to take this further let me know but we will need funds. Tor is ready and I have the new wallets... but before I release it we have to get a solid plan...
