The source link to the source on your website is empty.  Is the source on github?

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, we don't use github for any actual development and never will however I will setup one for convenience.

Such boasting might not be wise.

But that being said, I don't understand the choice of KGW either. The plain
Litecoin retargeting would work well with 10 minute block intervals.

Maybe when somebody comes up with an external miner.  In the meantime, stop spreading unnecessary FUD.

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

It's useful to the dev and everybody else.
BTW, where is that elusive dev?

Thanks for the request. Our policy is to not comment on whether we will launch coins but we mainly add coins due to community demand.

We gauge demand based off of tweets, hash power, length of bitcointalk thread, volume on other exchanges, etc. Follow us on twitter @bittrexexchange and tweet about how much you like this coin and Bittrex. We respond to creative and insightful posts to help market your favorite coins and Bittrex. I'd also consider coming to our irc channel #bittrex on irc.freenode.net and do some guerrilla marketing. The traders there can help you gain exposure for your coin.

Thanks,

question from this noob to others who've been closely following this coin:

could anyone summarise what's special about it?
have the devs lived up to their promises?

Any hidden problems -
premines?
instamines?
well distributed? is there a rich list?
buggy code?
are these are hard core programmers, not "copy-paste" devs or middlemen? When bugs/fork challenge popped up, were they fixed quickly?
dev squabbles?
dev complacency?
missed deadlines?

Anything to worry about?

it isn't a good idea, as anybody with sufficient knowledge of the wallet can manipulate that and modify his own wallet... (I am pretty sure it would be a totally transparent change).

no point in trying to develop a gpu miner if it works only from the wallet.

you'll have to read thread posts an make your own judgement on that.  The majority still here don't think so.  In summary, when the coin was released it was mistakenly left as scrypt and bcrypt wasn't "switched on".  This lead to a re-launch, there was a pre-mine to fund giving everybody back 10% of what they had mined as scrypt.  To be fair the dev was always up-front that this could happen following the discovery.  Some people were annoyed at the re-launch and only getting back 10% but on reflection it's probably fairer that way.

Quote
well distributed?

since it can only be mined by CPU currently it's as well distributed as it can be.  That said it's not had massive exposure yet so there are only a few mining I guess.

Quote
is there a rich list?

not that I'm aware of?

Quote
buggy code?

besides an early wallet issue which was cosmetic only, no problems i know of

Quote
are these are hard core programmers, not "copy-paste" devs or middlemen?

judge for yourself, this is an algo that NOBODY else has implemented.  You don't do that as a copy/paste dev.  Also, as yet, nobody has managed to create an external miner and pool for it, if it were 'easy' to do generically that would have been done by now

Quote
When bugs/fork challenge popped up, were they fixed quickly?

yes

Quote
dev squabbles?

only a minor spat with a disgruntled scrypt miner who comes back and shouts scam every once in a while

Quote
dev complacency?

no but maybe fair to say limited time at the moment

Quote
missed deadlines?
Anything to worry about?

probably a lot less than anything else out there at the moment.  an external miner and pool would be nice, nobody desperate to see a GPU miner yet from what I can gather but that too would be good if and when it comes

^^^ my 2 satoshis worth Smiley

I have no affiliation to the dev.  I do hold a modest amount of NUD and looking to buy some more around 8-10k satoshis

EDIT: reformatted original, sloppy in a rush / red crayon response

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

EDIT: Seems like the guy is spamming the forums with the same message looking for coins to pump, shoo pumper shoo, go pump icebergcoin.

Here's an attempt for ELI5. Well maybe more like ELI12.

NUD works on two fronts. First you need to have a Tor address.
(You need to install Tor yourself and turn your wallet into a hidden service)

Others on the network will not then see your IP address, instead
they see you something like lcqnp3bufy2hoosd.onion.

When your  address is relayed through Tor network, it's pretty good anonymity,
meaning that it is pretty hard for anybody figure out who is behind
the .onion address.

This in itself is not very remarkable (some other coins have it too), but NUD
adds another layer of anonymity in the form of transactions by delegate.

A delegate is someone who uses a part of his total balance to service
other users for a fee. So when you want to send NUD anonymously,
your wallet contacts a delegate wallet that has enough NUD to fund
your transaction. Then the delegate transfers his coins to recipient,
and afterwards you send an equal amount (plus delegate fee) to the delegate.

The end result is that there is no record in the blockchain that links you to the recipient.
What is recorded are the payments from the delegate to the recipient
and from you to the delegate, but for an outsider it is hard to say who is the sender
and who is the delegate, especially when there are many transactions
of this kind.

The wonderful thing is that all this happens kind of automatically. The
sender just pushes a button and goes to sleep. The delegate can be
asleep all the time. The wallet takes care of the processing. And if something
goes wrong (like computer crashing when they're asleep), the sender or the delegate can
reclaim their NUD. That works because the transactions have an inbuilt escrow
mechanism.

This is the gist of it. In practice however there are still a few hurdles and
wrinkles, that will no doubt be levelled out as NUD matures.

Yes

No, no, no, no

Yes, no, yes. Seems like some original innovation
dev squabbles?
dev complacency?
missed deadlines?

(What does Edison have to do with currency?)

squabbles? No, no.

Views on money
Thomas Edison was an advocate for monetary reform in the United States. He was ardently opposed to the gold standard and debt-based money. Famously, he was quoted in the New York Times stating "Gold is a relic of Julius Caesar, and interest is an invention of Satan."[92]

In the same article, he expounded upon the absurdity of a monetary system in which the taxpayer of the United States, in need of a loan, be compelled to pay in return perhaps double the principal, or even greater sums, due to interest. His basic point was that if the Government can produce debt-based money, it could equally as well produce money that was a credit to the taxpayer.[92]

He thought at length about the subject of money over 1921 and 1922. In May 1922, he published a proposal, entitled "A Proposed Amendment to the Federal Reserve Banking System".[93] In it, he detailed an explanation of a commodity-backed currency, in which the Federal Reserve would issue interest-free currency to farmers, based on the value of commodities they produced. During a publicity tour that he took with friend and fellow inventor, Henry Ford, he spoke publicly about his desire for monetary reform. For insight, he corresponded with prominent academic and banking professionals. In the end, however, Edison's proposals failed to find support, and were eventually abandoned.
