Yes this coin has been disappointing. Is it a scam? That is a tricky one, they have employed the same tactics as scammers would with all the hype and empty promises. But I think they were trying to fund the project completely through the premine (and the appreciation of the premine, hence the hype). This didn't work and it left them in a position where they had to decide whether they will break the golden rule of running start ups, and that is to use their own money. It does happen that people start with good and legitimate intentions but end up running scams because they hope to fix it all later. I don't think Strartjoin has gone down this route completely but time will tell, I think they still intend to run a legitimate platform, it is very unfortunate that they employed shilling and hype without substantial results to try and fund this project. Karl has tried to get additional funding as per last video update where he looked very uncomfortable. I can't imagine someone would want to invest in the Startjoin platform but no doubt there will be an announcement on Friday where he will reveal just that, I can't imagine he would have anything else to say, he said he was going to get investors and if he is announcing something "exciting" it could not be anything else (unless it is all lies, like before).

It boils down to this, does he want to lose face and be known as a scammer forever or does he genuinely want to have some standing in the cryptoworld. I think his ego wants the latter. I think he wants to make much more money than the £200K+ he can dump on the market, because he is a greedy arrogant arsehole. The fact that Karl bothered to do an update where he did not actually look that happy about the situation probably is a good thing, it might mean that he actually intends to do something for a change.

As for handing the coin to the community.... I think he will give it to Cris Ellis, if he wants it, they seem friendly on Twitter, Cris has a good reputation and is probably more competent on a bad day than any of the people before.

So on Friday, I think there will be an announcement of some investors in SJ, that SJ is accepting Altcurrencies pledges, that the site will be fully working (HA HA). And that the coin is being handed to someone less tainted. It will probably still disappoint people.

Ultimately this announcement, no matter how good or bad it is will not be important to me, the price might collapse, it might surge. From a technical analyses point of view it looks great long term (much more reliable than Karl). Look at the chart, ignore the hype and the FUD. Trade with stop losses! DO NOT BUY BAGS NOW WITHOUT MITIGATING RISK.

mind you most ppl i'm sure have almost zero interest in this poorly run crap given the amt of bagholders and fuckery the coin price has seen. 

BUT this could also translate to the usual whale play and lonnnggg term accumulation...now with some 'news' and potential life (and btc at 1800usd!) if this pumps it could be huuuuge gains.  (but honestly it will prob just die out in price again lol).

There are no fundamental reasons for this coin to rise, except for this announcement from Karl Gray. However, just like in RISE. Someone has been buying a lot of start around 300-500 satoshis. Now the coin starts rising. The available supply is just very centralized atm. Very easy to pump for the whale that owns all the crap coins. At 10x the price he only needs to sell 11% of his stake to make a profit .

Looks like Karl will be announcing that Startjoin is moving out of UK due to brexit. He might also mention that the Director Grace Ma has resigned 02/05/17, which might be a good thing....

Apparently there were 2 unsuccessful hacking attempts, and he is actually trying to hand the coin over to community with some interest from some active SJ platform individuals, most of this was announced 9/10 days ago, with the announcement of "exciting" events about 3 days ago, so maybe something happened in the intervening period.... Worrying thing is that the announcement of "exciting" things is exactly following the pattern of hype and dump that was used before.... Wish the idiot would stop doing that.

This is the most activity I have seen from Karl in fucking ages, and because its less hype and more business like it actually makes me think that he could be getting serious for the long term development of Startjoin, this could be quite bad short term but no doubt there will be a rose tinted version of the future projected for us......

Man this coin and this project has just been entertaining on epic levels, with a couple of seriously tragic cases of life savings gone down the drain. The irony is that there could still be equally miraculous stories of life changing wealth being created for others still, some lose everything in the times of optimism, other gain a new future in the times of complete despair. Second part of notification. This might get some people excited. Though they don't state how much would be left after the burning..... I think there was 42 million originally premined.... so one wonders how significant burning 2 million could be.... Pathetic.

Looks like 8 premine addresses still have 2000000 mil coins left, 16 mill - 2 mil burning. 14 mil premine total. And that is if the liquidation of the other 17 addresses are genuine and were ALL used for running the platform.

If the price collapses I will re-buy (a little) because it is still a good looking chart, but the support where it is now looks weak, so staying out and possibly buying lower, the price increase was due to hype and had no fundamentals in the end, so was standard modus operandi for Karl, which normally includes a crash at the end. I am genuinely surprised the price has stayed at this level, so maybe I am the last of the weak hands and from here it can only go up.
