The release of Chronos

Finally we can announce the release of v0.2.0 alias Chronos. Besides various bug fixes and speed improvements, we introduce our new consensus mechanism with it. It's called DPoS (Delegates Proof-of-Stake) and it is suited the best for our later releases (Dapp Store). At our blog post An introduction to DPoS you can read more about DPoS.

Our latest blog post shows everything you need to know about this release. If you encounter any issues, then please post them to our Helpdesk. We will happily help you out with them. If you want to become a delegate you can also ask in the Helpdesk.

Linux: http://downloads.crypti.me/crypti-node/0.2.x/0.2.0.zip

Thank you all that you waited the whole day. We were very busy all the time and it was quite complicated for us all, as we are living throughout the whole world. Some of us are awake since 24h, but we think that it was all worth it! Smiley

Edit:

A few more things about the Forging and Delegate features.
- It costs you 10,000 XCR to be a delegate
- You need enough votes to get into the top 101 to actually forge and earn XCR that way
- It takes a maximum of 17 minutes (one full round 101*10sec) to see your votes

I want to buy some XCR,But the price is a little high,
What do you guys think about this coin ?

You must be kidding Smiley Just take a look at the market cap, Crypti is somewhere around 50th place surrounded by Bitcoin and Litecoin clones. It's gonna be in top 20 within a couple of months and in top 10 soon after it.

I just registered the first non-dev delegate Smiley

My name is Barie, and i've been interested & invested in Crypti form the IPO. I'm not that active on this thread, but more so on the official IRC.

It does not have any vote's at the moment , so i ask the community to vote for me, lots of vote's are needed to gat past the Dev's own 101 delegate's.
I plan on running 2 Delegate's, both run from a VPS in a datacenter, so enough bandwith and uptime.

Once you have installed the node, you can see the delegates in the delegate tab.

Promote your delegates

If you want to run a delegate and need more votes, you can make a thread at our official forum. We made a new child board only for this purpose.

http://forum.crypti.me/viewforum.php?f=17

It is very important that our own forum gets more love from all of you, so we can create a nice ecosystem for Crypti. Smiley

Barie,

We want to avoid spamming this forum with "vote for me" posts.  Max has made a special topic on our own forum.

I will vote for you once there are more delegates to vote for.  Casting votes cost 1XCR, irregardless if you vote for 1 or 33.   Thats why I will wait for a few more to register.

Yes, by the way, the genesis delegate's have about 33 million XCR in vote's behind them. why is this so high, instead of just voting for the with a small amount, so the community can take over the list of delegate's?

I just want to say that I often write with Barie via Skype. He is a trustworthy and knowledgeable guy, he helped us with testing a lot of times in the past already. He is definitely capable to run a delegate properly. Smiley

That is in the plan.  You will note that there are many "foundation" delegtes.  Those will be voted down to reserve status.

It was necessary to form at least 101 delegates to get the block chain rolling.  We were at it for over 12 hours, three hours just starting and restarting the block chain to get it right.  We had to bring the delegates up one at a time, and had the usual problems.  Matt had only2.5 hrs sleep before he had to leave for work, Boris is up for like 30 hrs now without sleep.

Once we have a group of non-foundation delegates registered, we will down vote the spares so you guys can forge.

It may appear that the foundation is hogging the votes, but that is only to get things rolling.  It will look different in a week.

The current 30 million votes per delegate is to get above the "Bter wallet".

We will remove the votes steadily, so prominent community members can get into the top 101. It is just important for the beginning to ensure a stable network, so that nobody can attack it with a few votes. Smiley

OK, that seems like a good compromise indeed, slowly decentralizing the delegate's from the devs to the community

% of approval is the amount of vote's that you have. each % corresponds with a million crypti in votes.

In short, 100% is 100 Million XCR votes.  30% is 30 million votes
