Why there is no NanoWallet build for Windows 32 bit?
I use old laptop with Windows 7 32 bit installed...
So I can't use Nem wallet on it...
I don't think it's very difficult to create 32 bit build...

Hello.

You could use the standalone version
https://nem.io/downloads/
which should run on any operating system that can run chrome or firefox browser.

To run this you need
a) download the zip file.
b) extract the zip file
c) open the index.html file from the extracted folder with your browser by
    1. dragging it into the browser window
    or
    2. by double click the index.html file
    or
    3. through browser menu File -> Open

That's it.

I hope you manage.

Which standalone version do you mean?
NIS Standalone (.TGZ) or lightwallet-standalone-1.8-cdn-nginx1.8.zip?
Or there is something else?

NEM core developer perspective here on the foundation.

I find this un-fucking-believable.

They were supplied with a Catapult roadmap six months ago and have done nothing with it and Jaguar suspects most didn't comprehend it. I really hope these elections get rid of the dead wood and install people who realise there's a world beyond their meetings because that's a flat out piss take.

Foundation council membership needs to be valuable so occupants are motivated and competition for spots is high, are these paid positions?

Are you going to apply to be part of the foundation?

I made plenty of offers to help in the deep past. All were ignored.

Throw this in with how crappily these elections are being run - far too rushed, not PoI voting, 500 XEM fee, and plenty of evidence of new signups being paid - and the foundation's looking distinctly tinpot.

Pretty much everything people have been moaning about forever has just been confirmed.

To be fair, the whole system is still experimental but I can see where you are coming from. I once tried to help some coins but was either used or just plain ignored.
It's probably better not to deal with it to save yourself the stress.

You should run for a Council spot, NEM needs independent opinions at the top.

Why would POI voting be fairer when those with a low balance would have little say?

Why would POI voting be fairer when those with a low balance would have little say?

Because self-interest is always trying, and PoI is directly proportional to self-interest, that's why private enterprise is usually better than bureaucracy in getting things done efficiently, with some notable exceptions like public goods.
