When entering your tokens, make sure you do so on https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/

It's an obvious scam for people to try to send you a link to another site to redeem your tokens. Don't fall for simple scams like this! Don't click on links, but just type in the URL manually.

https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/ has a self-signed ssl cert, so you will get an error in the browser asking if you want to trust the site or continue. Don't worry about it, but just proceed.

No. Beta is not out yet, so you will create your private key at a later date that we will announce (Phase 2).

Why did you split the process into two with no clear definition of time between? Worst idea ever.


What does 'slight waiting period' mean? Cause if its more than 5 minutes its not a short time is it...and if its days or weeks then this is retarded way to distribute. You have made two steps separated by an undefined time delay for no apparent reason.

It's not the hardest URL to type in manually, and it's only one link, but yes clickable links would be nice I agree. With the amount of steps involved, though, we wanted to try and make it as simple and easy to read as possible along with being able to provide prominent visual warnings for possible pitfalls which is why I made the image. Actually I thought the image was going to be accompanied by text instructions as well which would include clickable links, but it seems like we've gone with just my infographic, which is fine but I thought would result in such complaints.

Please understand that there are various technical and administrative reasons as to why the process had to be conducted this way. I pushed for reducing the process down to two steps only, but you will just have to trust me that there are reasons on the back end why it has to be done this way in order to make sure the stakes are distributed properly and fairly. It's just the nature of the beast.

If you or anyone else in this thread has any issues or questions, please feel free to PM me for assistance and I will gladly help you through the process to redeem your stake.

The HTTPS certificate is a self-signed certificate, not issued by a certificate authority (CA) which means browsers are always going to give you this warning.

While self-signed SSL Certificates also encrypt customers' log in and other personal account credentials, they prompt most web servers to display a security alert because the certificate was not verified by a trusted Certificate Authority. Often the alerts advise the visitor to abort browsing the page for security reasons.

This is just something browsers do, but it does not mean that the site is dangerous. It is safe to proceed.

Can someone remind me the best way to make a privatekey?  How many letters, symbols or numbers or a combo of all 3?  Mr Lackingintechieability here.

Cant we just create our own?. I was hoping to know how to do it now and Im not sure if I trust sites or managers and suchlike.

It's not decided yet if it's gonna be small standalone app or JS-based app
In any case we'll make sure, that the key is created on YOURs machine.

Ok, another daft question....when you say ' machine' do you mean anything that can connect to internet?  Desktop, laptop, i-pads and even phones with internet access and the whole claiming process can be done with any of these mentioned?

Some guys were saying they were on holiday (or on duty/ service or something )over the redemption period and couldnt claim but couldnt they use their phones?

Can someone answer these questions?

I've just started to send out the redemption codes. Check your pms regularly and please follow our security advisory !
It'll take a while to send out thousands of pms because of the waiting periods that btt enforces.

a) Everyone must be given time to register, that is obvious, and I guess doesn't have to be explained
b) We need to know how many unclaimed stakes will there be, before we start phase two

I also don't see the point. Do you want to block the valid accounts, if they don't register within 2 weeks?
I think it should be possible to claim even after half a year. If they don't its not bad. there are just less nem then...
There are surely people not looking in here that often, and then come after 2 months asking about their stakes. If they don't get their NEM, they are fudding arround crazily...
