Like i said, i have chatted with Markus. The ONLY problem holding us back is Poloniex not responding to either of us. Fyrstikken holds a lot of coins and Markus does not. Markus wants to dev the trader but does not know what he wants to do about the coin as far as forking algo change or retargeting algo change or Fyrstikkens eth token idea. Markus doesnt have a ton of time to put into all this and is not going to do it one way half assed and then have to switch methods just to please a big holder like Fyrstikken. If Polo would answer Markus then he and Fyrstikken could get this done, but one guy wants to jump the gun and totally change QTL and the dev is more level headed and is waiting for Poloniex answer. If Poloniex delists tomorrow and doesn't answer, well then they are out of the equation and Markus can make a better decision. There is no rush to do it wrong.

Thanks for the reply, Transparency goes a long way to building confidence. I'd like to address a few of your points as seen by a supporter of the platform.

1) First screw POLO they are not necessary so I don't get the connection. I understand that Polo was the first exchange and has the most volume but there is still Bittrex and Cryptopia and a slew of others that would be more than happy to list the coin. These exchanges are looking to steal market share from Polo. Besides you have a case against Polo why sleep with your enemy. You just don't need them anymore.

2) Awe Fyrstikken... Something don't sit right to me with him, kinda reminds me of the wizard of oz. I don't know him or have ever talked to him just going by my gut feelings there. As far as holding coins, let him hold a bag full of coins, you have the code and that's what matters.

3) Start communication with the community of users via Twitter, FaceBook, Reddit, slack. Youtube. etc... The saying no news is good news doesn't apply in this case.

4) Markus does not have a lot of time to dev the project. I get that but I think it's important to keep in mind that when he started this project there was no user base or community to support him. That's changed now and there is no need for him to go it alone.

5) Polo is going to de-list tomorrow, it's said and done. Period and there's no point in waiting for a train that's already left the station.

6) On the coin swap. Don't fix whats not broken. Your public image is in shambles and it would be easier to fix that first. Once user confidence is restored the community will come through with support of the project. Myself included. Seems like the Blockchain mechanic did a lot of work to bring the blockchain up to speed. I installed the wallet and sent some coins to a friend to test it out. It worked fine.

7) Lastly. If Markus is still the dev we need to know that he is actually still alive. have him take five minutes to record a video and post it on Youtube otherwise I will assume that he is not alive and I am most likely speaking with Fyrstikken.

Business is not a place for children, it's time to grow up.

That has almost all been said before.  But, it is all correct.  Do it right, or just don't do it.

Why would the dev not hold many coins. No wonder he isn't that motivated. He should put the trader source code up for sale.

I don't know why dev didn't hold much coins. He was very generous in the begining with bounties and stuff. As far as if Markus is alive and around, yes. He is NOT fyrstikken. I have chatted with Fyrstikken and him on twitter and email once in the last month. So unless someone hijacked his twitter and email account and sounds exactly like him, he is back. But I agree he should post more, tweet, etc. But I don't think he knows which route he wants to take yet and he has a full time job and new baby, the 5th, so he is kinda busy. I also don't have much coins, just enough to test the trader for him. If anyone could donate to me that would be appreciated, and as always I try to keep everyone  in the know as soon as he tells me anything I post here and @CRYPT0N1TE on twitter (which used to be my kids twitter and now I am fully in charge of it, many crypto followers from traders to exchanges and pools).

Thanks again for the reply, I understand the pressures of raising a young family or a large family. Most likely this started out as a hobby and just grew out of control. I've been there myself and it's a now stop battle to keep going. He gave the program out for free and if he's not using the app himself and has no coins of his own then most likely is not getting any income from it. Still he wants to cling to his dream that maybe some day he'll get a reward for his labor he put in during the early days. I watched his yourtube video and he seems like a good guy and he should be getting something out of it.

Now here is the naked truth. In my city there are thousands of homeless people. Most of them just hang out and do not much of anything at all. Others stand in traffic on busy streets holding signs and those are making 50 to 100 dollars a day. The lesson here is even the smallest effort pays far more than no effort at all.

Anybody who uses the app is obviously trading coins and has money, most are going to want to donate or pay for the use of the Quatloo Trader. But he has to make some effort on his own. Just hold up a sign.  He's  committing suicide by his silence. In this community the people want to give him money because it's in their own interest to do so.

Make the f_ing two minute Youtube video and have him ask for donations to continue to develop the app. It's not hard and can be done with a cell phone. Thats an easy start with minimal effort.  Thanks

Thank you for that, I was down to about 10k QTL and that really helped. Yes, every time I test new versions of the trader, I lose both btc and several alt coins in the process.  I leave it running overnight, sometimes weeks to catch bugs and give Markus errors and feedback. One of the main issues I was having was when arbing the Poloniex side did not go thru always and the order also did not stay on the books as unfilled, it just was gone. So Markus fixed that so the order remains on the books. Of course you can delete it if you want manually. But that is just one example of all the beta testing I have been doing for Markus for free since the begining of QTL. I also had to send QTL back and forth from Bittrex and Polo, losing coins all the time. So I just have enough to test all the functions. I think Markus is going to give me a licensed non-restricted copy if he decides to sell them, and then I wouldn't need to worry about losing QTL through arb or transfers, but I will always hold 15-20k, it is just that testing you can lose a lot of coins sometimes, so I kinda ran out of alts to test arb (like 8 at a time) and bitcoin.

And to the last poster, I think Markus is contemplating selling copies that don't require QTL holdings for either QTL or BTC, but just like everything else, this is all just contemplations now.

Does Quatloo 2.3 - the new one - even work? I tried arbing with it, and about 95 per cent of arbs got "Fail" for spurious reasons, eg. lack of balance or "dust" when there was plenty of required coins on both exchanges.

I'm figuring the reason it has dropped so substantially over the last week is that people - like me - were willing to invest the 0.1 bitcoin plus to get 5K to try out arb, and finding out it doesn't work, dump it out.

It could have been a time synch problem on my computer, has anyone else used arbitrage function without a problem?

Thanks for keeping us informed. I feel strongly that this can be worked out if enough people are willing to put in the effort. Even us going back and forth like this shows activity and that is important. I'd like to be involved in the project perhaps as a beta test or in some other way. Quatloo Trader is a winner even if not used for arb the other functions work well enough to make it an extremely useful as a time saver and placing market orders.  I'm holding just under 40k of coins so I'm kinda out on a limb here and I'm motivated to make this work and I'm able to put in time and effort.  Once again thanks for keeping us up to date as that is very helpful.

Arb does work but nothing is 100%. The problem you see with arb is minor, that is if it is trying to arb less than 50k satoshi of a coin, the exchanges don't allow dust trades. The bigger problem with arbing is sometimes one side gets filled but the other does not, that is the case more often with high volume fast trading coins. Someone might beat you to the price/order and only one side of the arb may fill. So check you open orders to see if there is the other side of he arb and let it fill or cancel it if you want. That is just the nature of arbing, it will not always be fast enough to do both sides, and there are also not many arb oportunities depending on the coin and % you enter.

Arbitrage works for me. (Keep in mind my min. percentage was set at 1% not at 10% as in the pic, I changed that during the arbitraging to see if it auto updates afterwards.)

I talked to Markus a lot when this started.  He is a very good guy, just think work and family grew out of control for him.  The trader is decent for what time he had to put into it, but needs a lot of attention and work to be outstanding.  I will watch and see what he does.  Until he is willing to find a partner or two that can code and he trusts, it probably will not go anywhere.  The coin works as a great multiplier for profits, but if both are too much, just make the Trader and sell it.  Problem is that when you have a good job and a big family, hobbies take a back seat.

@jimlite and @yaooke

If arb is working so well - it certainly wasn't for about 95 per cent of the time for me, although I did have a select few settle - then why is QTL price tanking so much. at the present  0.00001800 rate this makes it the cheapest Arb bot on the market, cheaper than spreadbot that is very difficult for English speakers to get because it's all in German, and certainly cheaper than the circa 1 bitcoin high end bots.

Is the market that dumb that they're underpricing QTL compared to its utility value? I'm sceptical.

Shocked hey there, back into QTL after being out since Poloniex dropped it awhile ago. If you happen to visit my site, maybe you'll see some interesting crypto picks. The awesome recent major rallies allowed me to get this far, and it's getting harder finding good value, but not too difficult. I noticed that 800 Quatloo giveaway was quite generous. I'm high bidder for about 300 at Cryptopia. My address and a promise to hold and put you on the site...  Cheesy

Why does the smartscreen filter see the quatloo-wallet.zip file as unsafe? I do not have this problem downloading other wallets...

What do you mean?
I know the dev is a good dev hes just an idiot for letting his coin be delisted from the biggest most profitable crypto exchange, with only about 50 coins. So much money on that exchange that if the coin ever got popular a lot more people would have bought it.

Now hes about to swap the coin to a token which is smart, just wish it happened earlier.
