We do plan to make a change eventually along these lines.. The exact change hasn't been decided yet.

For starters.. you can delete all block data and only keep your wallet.dat and quatloo.conf file


set nodes to up to date wallet nodes:

we need to get the valid chain longer than the invalid forked chain...
if you resync and then re run the quatlood wallet with the  -disablesafemode switch, you can mine and use the wallet and we can get the coin back to normal.

If you know a pool is still on the wrong block,  let them know to switch asap and follow the above instructions.

I also support the PoS suggestion.
With the right specs, PoS can provide incentive for people to keep their wallets running to better secure the network.

Setting short max age with caped stake rewards and short mature age, will insure that those who close their wallets and only open it once in a blue moon will receive minimal reward vs those who keep their wallets running for continuous flow of rewards.
