Don't panic, people, it's just a rumour. Anyway, there will be another halving at the end of the year, from 8.5 QTL per block to 4.25 QTL. Quatloo will be rare. Hold and expect a release soon.

I have check with fyrstikken on teamspeak and Indeed its true!!!!!

<15:33:52> "fyrstikken": well, what can I do about it? Markus has a dayjob that he must focus on

<15:38:37> "fyrstikken": it is not cool at all, I´ve been working hard in everything quatloo-trader related, and spent countless money and hours which I now am afraid is lost, I hope not

<15:40:15> "fyrstikken": I have not given up yet, but there is nothing I can do today to change things for the better in the short run

<15:44:55> "fyrstikken": I´m waiting for Markus to reply back to me so I can know how he is planning on passing the torch on

<15:45:26> "fyrstikken": no doubt Quatloo need a coin-developer which is not so hard to find

<15:46:15> "fyrstikken": meh, if we can´t deliver the quatloo-trader, I don´t see any value in the coin

I am convinced that a solution will be found. The project is extremely interesting, and it is not difficult to find a dev.

It's the third version of the previous 2 traders and he already had it in beta. I don't see why he would quit the project now, but crazier things have happened so I guess we wait...

Maybe Markus became millionnaire with Ethereum pump and three years of crypto ; so, he doesn't need more millions.

The reasonable thing to do would be to get the QTL okcoin  and QTL V3 out and then look for a new dev.

But I fear this might be the end...

Anyone interested in taking it over? I'm sure a few of us would be happy to donate some QTL's

I had some chats today with Sampey, the founder of C.A.T, he has not enough time to take over Quatloo, and he doesn't want to work with someone who could attempt to his reputation.

MarkusRomanus
Sampey

Archdev ? No, I'm joking. Has someone a solution ? I'm sure, we will find it.

could be a strategy to buy some up before he burns with the new v3. But still shady shady stuff. Get off team speak and come post some update here. I'm sure we can all stand the truth.

This is from the announcement (page 1):

"This is NOT a half-hearted coin release! We are serious about this coin and will support it."

A takeover by Sampey with his CAT could push the price up.

I'm very disappointed about the news to say at least. Sampey will consider Quatloo as a competitor that is costing him market share. Also he has a differrent approach. He is selling his bot for BTC whereas Quatloo is conditional freeware that requires QTL to run. Quatloo trader and CAT are the only two well known bots that don't require to give your trading information to a third party (e.g. opposed to the online bots where you have to log into a website and which potentially could steal your trading strategy. I would avoid those).

Quatloo has a unique position in the market and it would be a total waste if the code isn't transferred to a new developer. The task is up to Fyrstikken if he really cares about the coin. Don't accept the first best developer who crosses your way, search for a good one who is interested to develop Quatloo long term.

Quatloo is a brand name and you don't waste opportunities like this, you seize the opportunity.

To find a new developer Markus will have to let go some of his Quatloo stash. After all he shouldn't promote his software as nearly ready and then not finishing it. The new developer could receive Quatloos via an escrow system where Quatloos are transferred to him when reaching pre-defined development milestones. There could also be 2 or 3 developers who share the development.

There is a lot of support for Quatloo in the community.

I'm not too sure Markus has a large Qtl stash.

Fyrstikken and his friends are heavily invested in this coin.  If Markus is actually done with the project, I'm sure there will be someone to take his place.

I think it's outrageous and shortsighted to take it upon yourselves to ask other devs (especially Sampey, a competitor) to step in at this point.

Three logical scenarios at this point in time:

1.  This is planned FUD.  All your qtl are belong to us now.
2.  Markus is done with the project, but fyrst finds capable development.  Fyrst is using this opportunity to accumulate more qtl.
3.  Markus is done with the project, and fyrst says fuck it.  There is a small exit pump and qtl is dumped to oblivion.

Take your pick, but we are all passengers on this ship.  You can get on or off, but you can't steer it in the direction you want it to go.

Good luck!

IF markus really did quit, then fyrst who has a lot of coins and time in it has a vested interest to find a competent dev that he and Markus trusts to hand the torch over to. And to be honest, rather than starting a whole new version 3, I would be happy if a dev fixed the bugs in the current version, then added more exchanges and features to it. If the new dev has the code, no reason to re-invent the wheel, just add graph, improvements, etc.

Markus will have to release the source code to the next dev or he should put the source code up on Github and let the community take over development

even the 2 block explorers do no work anymore  Huh

I think he sold his coins on the last pump, If you ask me those guys are dishonest, look at CXC! I beleive he will do nothing to save this coin and I doubt Markus will give the source code... but lets hope I'm wrong

All the soft made by Markus i.e 1broker (tarder), CXC and quatloo all have fyrst involved... I think that Markus = fyrst

Yeah I have a feeling that last little pump the last couple of months was fyrs and others trying to pump to sell because they knew it version 3 wasnt coming out. I wouldn't trust any of fyrstikkens words either way.

They didn't do that with the CheckoutCoin software, even though we had a community member who was actively expressing interest in taking it over.

dump it before all the buy walls go as news spreads

block explorers do not even work

it look dead to me..i dumped my 50K QTL and bought monero instead
