Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

With a planned coin reduction, sufficient marketing and development Quatloo could be at 80,000 Satoshi. When I compare this with the current price it makes no sense to sell any. Many bought at a much higher price.
I'm just gonna hodl Quatloo until the price increases.

Is there no one out there able to take over this coin ? Surely it is a project worth saving.

It's impossible for the devs to abandon this project ; because they know perfectly that they can make a profit of thousands bitcoins. A software release isn't very hard. Look at Sampey : he's always updating his bot.

It's a shame. Quatloo seemed unique for its time. No crypto currency is exempt from the digital graveyard when its developers grow bored with it or decide it has made them enough money and it is time to move on.

The only "shame" I see in every altcoin is people relying on a single person to provide the various things around a coin.
If you can't clone a git repository and mantain a bitcoin fork, and also don't want to learn how to do it, then there's many ways you could help mantain the fun, the market, the hype, or whatever you think a coin works for.
Sounding the "it's dead alarm" everywhere seems to me like one of the things that doesn't fit on any "how could I help this" list.
