@ Bitmain

I'm ready to buy upgrade boards for my S2's

Second that, although they stated earlier (in this thread, IIRC) that they needed additional engineering for that product.  It's in the works.

I sent my payment within 10 mins, no confirmation, bitcoins are gone, unpaid, unshipped, expired.

fuck me ...

Bitmain is very good about manually changing your order to paid / valid.  You can wait an hour or two then shoot them a quick email with your payment address.

Same as me, 3 confirmation before the order expired.
Email sent out. Waiting for correction with finger-crossed.

question : if I buy 2 S3 antminers can one 800W PSU power them both ?
I was thinking about this PSU :
http://www.emag.ro/sursa-corsair-800w-atx-2-3-cmpsu-800g/pd/EN1H7BBBM/

Assume it is 80% efficiency, the total watt of this PSU is 640W.
According to bitmain spec 1 S3 require 366W, so 2 S3 need 732W.
So I think it cannot suitable.

Two alternative setups for the gigampz boards: you can fit 2 16awg wires per terminal if you need to balance larger loads. I sell both the 6" 18awg splitters and 24" 16awg leads in my signature link

This is what happens when you use adapters with thin wires unable to carry a load. notice this is an 8pin ATX to 6pin PCIe adapter that burnt up under 200w load, probably only a 22awg wire at best. it even melted into a nearby fan wire.

notice the difference between the burnt-out adapter and the 18awg y-splitter I sell. There is also a 16awg tip from the 24" cable visible, which is a little bit thicker again.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

The Corsair Gaming Series GS800 is a single +12V rail PSU.
It will handle up to 62A in that and that's around 780 Watts if you load it to the maximum available.
Since the Antminer S3 is 366 per device, you may need 732Watts. So that will run on your PSU.
But before you take such a decision you need to consider the overclocking power requirement of this miner.
As per datasheet they published and their own claims, to overclock to 504Ghs will consume 390Watts.
Again we can OC this to higher so, for any overclocking the 800G will not be sufficient to draw juice for 2 S3-s.
I will recommend to buy a 1200Watts PSU for this purpose. Keep an eye on the efficiency ratings when purchasing.
Corsair have 2 or 3 models with 1200W but I think they are costly.

http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/corsair/rm-series-rm1000/

this one is 1000w with 94 % efficiency, meaning it provides 940 W, I belive this would be more than enough even for OC,right ?

When you say miners fee, do you mean the .001 btc on top of the amount I send?  If so then I did.

Now i`m getting worried.

I sent my order through for 2 s3`s and now my order has expired without it being acknowledged.....

did you get confirms in the blockchain?
if yes-email info and/or webmaster
then check the order status on bitmain website. If on the right you can view the order-check it, it (pdf) should say :confirmed
if not-they will fix it as long as you have got the blockchain confirms

It's the other way around.  The PSU will supply ~1000W DC, but pull ~1064W AC from the wall.

Well Christ I do not believe Diff will continue to rise @ 20%, as of this increase network has fallen on it's face and is running under 6 blocks per hour and has been for almost a day. That 25% increase KILLED the last of the FPGA/GPU miners. Anyone running a BFL single is going to be shutting them down SOON. My 2 60's earn approx $2.04 USD per day, but cost me $1.15 USD so they are on eBay as we chat.

why do people keep saying that...for the last 2 years, stop living in your fantasy world.  Difficulty WILL continue to gap at 20% until the it reaches hardware manufacturing cost, which is still well below what they are selling.  The summer rush has just started, wait until those spoondoolis 5Th start to get pumped out.  Be happy with just a 20% increase.

I see this happening for at least the next 12-18 months before difficulty growth start to level off. And yes i know how many multiples that will be in term of current difficulty.

Not saying dont buy miners, just make sure you use real calculations, otherwise the only one you screwing over is yourself.
