Hi All,

Since we recently decided to change the trust key expiration algorithm so trust keys expires in relation to how long your trust key has been active (1 day for every 7 days) rather than a set expiration time (3 days, 7 days, etc), the coding is a little more involved and is taking a little longer.  The code will also be updated to reactivate trust keys so those that have lost them will be rewarded on some level.  Viz will be on later to give an updated timeline for completion.  Sorry for the delay in addressing this.

Just to clarify is that 1 day per 7 days upto some maximum?

There is not really any reason to put a cap on the maximum.

We are making progress on both wallet and miner, and we were hoping to have update out by Nov 25th but we did not make our deadline as we hoped however that's okay, because setting goals is always a good thing  Videlicet is making progress as we speak on implementing the algorithms into Nexus Core that we have been discussing publicly here and privately for the last 4 weeks.  We are working it just takes time to get everyone on the same page.

As for marketing we are planning to participate in some podcasts for discussing the technology that is developed in Nexus for quantum security -- specifically our vision to provide a path forward for Bitcoin should SHA2 be compromised by quantum computing.  SHA2 is only one vector of attack in Bitcoin and make no mistake that Nexus is designed to solve ALL encryption weaknesses in Bitcoin.  Will keep you posted as soon as we have more specifics about podcast. 

We really want to present the team to everyone through an audio format and to share our vision more in-depth, because we believe this will bring in many more people to the project as well as strengthen the resolve of the community to stay behind us and support us.

Bit annoyed...Hard drive nakered last night so rushed to sort one out knowing full well the block chain will take all day to sync and the 24 hour trust key would vanish. Have managed to sync the wallet well before the 24 hours yet when i start staking my trust key has vanished along with my interest rate!

Does that mean it is linked to the computer hardware and not the wallet? It is the exact same wallet just on a different hard drive.

Absolutely no volume on bittrex as well. I am expecting it all of a sudden to drop in value.

Any news on being added elsewhere??

OP could do with an update with a news section giving everyone the info of whats going on and recent developments and on going ones. If someone new came here and was looking for the info even just for mining and unlocking the wallet they wouldnt have a clue.

They just open sourced the code.  A new wallet is on the way and they plan on open sourcing that as well.

This is HUGE guys and has many implications for the crypto community.

This is a good point about having to resync from scratch.  Videlicet is working on improving the redundancy within the blockchain and give users more control over their trust keys.

Our next update will include an algorithm to re-activate expired trust keys retroactively, and we are changing the way they expire as well, rather than instantly expiring they will slowly decay.  Many people were frustrated with losing trust keys in the past, and we are working to improve this system. 

Videlicet is focused on coding but we will relay your concerns to him.

Your trust expired because while you were resyncing your wallet wasn't able to stake at the same time.  We are working on a couple updates to address the quick expiration.  We will be extending the Trust key expiration to a ratio of 1 day for every 7 days your trust key is active.  We are also working on a fair way to compensate folks who lost their trust key before this next release.

As far as the market goes, our market cap has stayed consistent for quite some time and while there may not be 10s of BTC a day, we have maintained enough volume to stay on Bittrex.  We will be actively working to get on other exchanges after this next update.  Exchanges don't like to have to make updates so we thought it best to wait.

We are also working on an OP update.  The first step was starting the Wiki that tokyopotato posted about.  

Thanks for being patient, we have only recently increased the size of our Core Team and we are all working together to take Nexus to the next level.

I had a similar issue when my wallet became corrupted, after resyncing from an older backup I found my interest rate was reset. Fortunately i was able to restore my trust key by pasting snyced blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat back into Nexus folder. Unfortunately this wont be possible in your case due to hard drive failure, still would like to hear from viz what is the correct way to backup wallet and preserve trust key?

my wallet is stuck syncing. It has stopped downloading the block chain and there is no bar showing it is downloading the rest of it but there is 7 connections and it says its catching up.

Tried restarting wallet but still does nothing.
