Someone's changing my graphs! Artefact - I dunno if this is technically possible, but is there any way to have a payout counter? At minimum, something like "6 payouts today" or ideally one that listed out the payout and the amount? And by payout I mean block generation, not > 1.0BTC payout.

Do you mean something like Deepbit or Slush's pages ? Yes, it's planned.

I notice that the time scale of the second (hashrate) graph has changed, used to go back to when I joined eligius a few days ago and now it's a full week, which makes it a bit harder to follow intraday trends because it's so cramped. Maybe it always showed a week worth of data when you'd been on the pool that long, but what about either a)giving a dropdown menu for time scale with a few options from e.g. 12 hours to 2 weeks, or b)skipping the control and adding a third graph showing hashrate over the last 24 hours?

No, sorry. It has always been one week. And the averages are supposed to help you read interesting data.

OK then. Personally I did find it more readable when it was only showing a few days worth, as it was until today sometime because I hadn't been going a full week. Now it shows several days of blank space before I started which it didn't before. Just using thinner lines would even do the trick actually since I can zoom in with the browser.

Thanks, Artefact. That sounds great! The new graphs look good and are a lot easier to read, I think. Thanks for spiffing the up, too.

I am receiving no bitcoin for mining in this pool since June 8th.
I ran a miner all night (14+ hours) and it says that my 3 hour average is 0.00 Khashes/sec and the pool says that I have submitted nothing since June 8th.
Any help?

I just moved to this pool from btcmine, hope it goes well I'm sure it will! St. Eligius is the easiest pool to get running on. There's a hiccup now and then - but no worse than Slush and Deepbit going batty. On average, I've got about 6 coins in 6 days with an average of somewhere near 350MHs (I think, not including downtime). I usually do burn-in and other tests on St. Eligius, so that 6 days includes roughly 2 whole days of downtime when I was tweaking/refitting cards in one of my miners.

I get the idle notification with phoenix every once in a while, but less than a second later I've already submitted work and had it accepted....
Not sure why. Maybe it's something flakey with phoenix? It doesn't seem to affect my overall hashrate, though.

I have a feeling it's probably a combination of the miner AND the pool and how it responds (or how quickly) it responds with work requests. I bet you anything slush is on a much beefier connection with lower latency than Eligius US so that may explain it. Ohwell, I guess as long as the overall hashrate is not affected too much then it's all good.

The current code is very inefficient at generating work, so on long rounds it can take a number of seconds to return new work. I'm currently working on a new version to optimize it.

Cool. Thanks Luke for that explanation. So it is not the miner after all - that's a relief cause people have reported issues with phoenix in the past.

It has no real reason to run out of work and idle, even if the pool takes a few seconds to respond. Usually Phoenix problems are high invalid rates, though.

So you'd suggest poclmb instead? or? Another thing - and pardon me for not being up to date - , the two pools (EU and US) are not joined in any way, right?

I get the "idle" messages from phoenix too. I'm solo mining on other instance of phoenix with low agression just in case that this message appears to avoid my gpu to go up and down on temp.

Like I said (or I think I said it) previously, I don't have this problem with slush's pool. So I'm not sure 100% what is going on. I'll have to checkout the phoenix thread - maybe there is something that I missed.

Right. And Luke answered your question about "waiting for work" thing a few posts up.
