Check this out:

http://www.livechains.net/LivePool.html

Might be worth trying them - also Willi7m could try contacting them and negotiating to see if they would take payment in BRIT if the coin becomes successful.  I would be willing to contribute towards the cost if others will.  After all if they become the de-facto Brit Multipool they could make a lot of money in fees.  I have asked around and it seems nobody is likely to take up the multipool offer without either dollar/Bitcoin payment.  Most people charge around 4-5 bitcoins so this seems like a bargain.

Right I've paid for this and made an order so we can try it out.  Would anyone be willing to actually run the pool as I don't have clue about the server side of things and how to set this stuff up - assuming it's not idiot friendly?

The other issue is I think they use Cryptsy to pay out - if Will7am could speak to them and explain we are setting up a multipool to pay out in BRITcoin they should add us as the volume will be taken care of.

(Only about 0.13 BTC so no great loss if it's rubbish).

Nice job. Thanks so much. Try asking them for support. I know nothing on setting up pools so I wouldn't be able to help at all Sad

Well with this they take care of all the hardware side of things/downtime etc.  It's just all the configuration I'm worried about because I've never setup a cloud server or server of any kind before - I'm a complete Unix dunce.

Thanks so much for doing this, words can't describe have thankful I am. Smiley  You are now an honorary 'BritCoin Legend' Cheesy

I'm not familiar with setting up a multipool myself so I'm not sure how much help I can be during the setup process, but I will get in touch with Cryptsy right now and see if we can get added.

Again, thanks so much!  It's people like you who make this project special. Smiley

No problem I'll have a look later to check if the payments have gone through from Coinpayments.net as BTC is sooo slow.  Anyway does anyone have any domain's free that they could donate for this - I think I might need one for it.  Not a major issue, I can just buy one but would rather not go through the hassle of somewhere like GoDaddy.  Will get back if I'm having problems.

Could probably just setup a subdomain. Like   britcoin.dom.com
I have a three letter domain that's not doing anything, but what is involved?

I have BritCoin.me available if you'd like to use this.

Or you can use a subdomain on britcoin.io Smiley

Am not really sure.  I contacted support and they said that a domain name isn't essential and that just the IP address can be used.

OK that would be great and look more professional.  I'm not sure how to go about transferring it etc, but will message you when I come to it.

Right now they are asking me to let them know which 10 coins we would like to mine.  Any ideas here (obviously they don't have an automatic, switching algorithm), might make sense to choose some coins with different algorithms that are definitely POW only for the time being and as stable as possible, price wise.

I would think the following would be definite:

BTC for SHA256D
LTC for Scrypt
DRK for X11

any other suggestions?
