hey guys i have been having some problems with my s3's on ghash. they seem to be having a very high amount of low difficulty share's difficulty is set at 256 but the hashrate displays incorrectly most of the time from the s3's but not my s1's

Here is some Overclocking testing with 8 Ants (4 from batch 1, 4 from batch 3).

The results gave me an indication of which Ant preformed best at which speed, but unfortunately no decisive result on a best universal setting.

Looks like each Ant will have to be tested at various clock speeds to find the best performance...

Man that's too long of a wait for the S3+ (which is really just what the S3 was SUPPOSED to be) and the kit for the S1's.  A month in the BTC world is like two years in the real world.

Bitmain is just going to solomine for a month and give you the left overs whilst making you pay, in advance of course...

They are picking up all the bad habits from other sellers.  Sad what made bitmain stand out they are slowly changing.  In stock, price drops to give us a chance to ROI, coupons... All the reasons I bought so many units from them and encouraged others to also.  Hope they go back to what made them the best by far.

I'm having trouble overclocking my S3's, which is surprising considering I had no issue overclocking the S1's, but I guess that it was slightly simpler to copy/paste with the S1.
Anyways, specifically, I am using terminal on my MBP to ssh into the device, and when I get to the point where its time to "uncomment" and "comment" I did everything but Im not sure how to save the file once I've modified it...Any help?

Also, another n00b question, occasionally i will try to ssh into one particular unit and it wont let me in because the "fingerprint" doesn't match.  This only happens with the occasional unit, but I was wondering how I could fix this? I assume that it would involve adding my devices "key" into the admin, ssh configuration page, but I really have no clue as I'm not too familiar with using SSH. Any help is much appreciated.

So I got my new control boards after RMA'ing the original ones since they hashed at 401-420ghs/ at stock clock

the new boards came with a weird antminer S1 firmware and all the FREQ clocks are for S1 (like 300M, 350M, 400M) and they were all set to 350M

after flashing latest firmware on bitmains website and changing clock to 218.75 they seem to be hashing ok.. although now one of them keeps getting a shitty x/- asic status

Not to mention you are throwing away 105-110~GH/s@1W/GHs per ant that you upgrade if you were under-volting. So for 0,46BT what you get is
a 350GH/s@250W upgrade compared to just keeping the S1, might as well just buy a S3+ instead.

Thanks so much!!! I was able to successfully overclock the units that I didn't have any problems SSH'ing into.
So that solves the first question! Now for this...

My 2 B6's run great at 503gh so far, one for 36hrs and one for 20hrs.

The point vortexz is making is that he believes the HW is overpriced, as in: you're an idiot for buying it because you're never going to make your money back.  The incentive for BITMAIN to sell the HW at a price point that would allow you to actually make money is non-existent because people keep buying the overpriced HW.

It doesn't matter what the GH/W and GH/$ ratio is if you're never going to earn your money back.  People keep buying this HW hand over fist  because it's preceived as the best, when in reality you're all giving BITMAIN more money for it than you'll ever get back.  

TL;DR: STOP BUYING HW JUST BECAUSE ITS THE BEST AVAILABLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO MAKE YOUR MONEY BACK.

I agree with him though, welcome to the new bitmain.  They might as well have started out like this and made more profits.  Because all the good will bitmain built up is flushing down the toilet.   Bitmains rep was an asset that they just chucked out the window.  Bitmain is now the best option of very bad options.

I will be buy again when they return to the bitmain they were.  For now, with btc/usd dropping, preorders, no coupons... no way no thanks.

That's not the point. There's no such thing you are asking for. He is telling you that S3 won't ROI, ant your argument is that other miners won't ROI, I don't get what do you want to say?
