Man that's too long of a wait for the S3+ (which is really just what the S3 was SUPPOSED to be) and the kit for the S1's.  A month in the BTC world is like two years in the real world.

I only have a signature because I'm allowed.

S3+ for sales shipping starts on September 20th or earlier

omg, 5 weeks with no sales of S3's......

i wonder what they changed to make them + ??

revised hardware design makes the S3+ more stable at higher frequency.

Any word on new firmware update to make user interface more stable and usable?  Maybe with selectable freq from the interface?  How about updated cgminer or driver information like everyone has been asking?  Any chance you guys can focus on making what we have run better now?

Thanks

Bitmain is just going to solomine for a month and give you the left overs whilst making you pay, in advance of course...

They are picking up all the bad habits from other sellers.  Sad what made bitmain stand out they are slowly changing.  In stock, price drops to give us a chance to ROI, coupons... All the reasons I bought so many units from them and encouraged others to also.  Hope they go back to what made them the best by far.

Will the S1 kit run as cool as the S3 without a case cover?

Question.  I'm using the Ant Monitor and I have most of my devices OC'ed to 225 and doing ~452hmash each.  Ant Monitor says they are doing this

S1:210   1d 15h 7m 57s   490.91   452.9   0   0.0022%   0   1,024   UUU   0.3156   0.0607
S1:211   3d 9h 29m 57s   424.16   453.3   0   0.0041%   0   1,024   UUU   0.1496   0
S1:212   3d 9h 29m 58s   455.29   452.68   0   0.0142%   0   1,024   UUU   0.202   0
S1:213   3d 9h 28m 57s   423.47   453.2   0   0.0179%   0   1,024   UUU   0.3813   0
S1:214   3d 9h 27m 58s   460.6   452.4   0   0.0013%   0   1,024   UUU   0.2938   0
S1:215   2d 23h 29m 2s   469.49   441.03   0   0.0084%   0   1,024   UUU   0.1663   0
S1:216   3d 9h 27m 1s   455.64   453.34   0   0.0011%   0   256   UUU   0.2998   0
S1:217   3d 9h 25m 58s   435.15   443.72   0   0.0083%   0   256   UUU   0.2677   0.0031
S1:218   3d 9h 24m 1s   440.79   452.95   0   0.0018%   0   1,024   UUU   0.3378   0.0363
S1:219   3d 9h 23m 5s   488.76   453.47   0   0.0056%   0   256   UUU   0.3617   0
S1:220   1d 15h 13m 54s   470.51   439.49   0   0.0022%   0   1,024   UUU   0.2996   0.0491
S1:221   1d 15h 13m 58s   444.42   440.46   0   0.0011%   0   1,024   UUU   0.2021   0

so .0011 -.0179% HW.  what is a good target HW threshold to aim for with OC'ing?

also I had a spike in rejects with ghash yesterday but before that i was virtually 0 rejects.  They are now dropping as the average climbs.  anyone else see that happen?

Thx

Way to risky to buy the upgrade kit as the price of BTC continues to tank.

Here is some Overclocking testing with 8 Ants (4 from batch 1, 4 from batch 3).

The results gave me an indication of which Ant preformed best at which speed, but unfortunately no decisive result on a best universal setting.

Looks like each Ant will have to be tested at various clock speeds to find the best performance...

we are the only ones enouraging them to do so, because we buy anyway from them.
if we would all stop buying their crap like hot cakes, they would lower the price and start shipping from stock.
but at this selling rate they have no reason to lower price or start shipping from stock.

I'm having trouble overclocking my S3's, which is surprising considering I had no issue overclocking the S1's, but I guess that it was slightly simpler to copy/paste with the S1.
Anyways, specifically, I am using terminal on my MBP to ssh into the device, and when I get to the point where its time to "uncomment" and "comment" I did everything but Im not sure how to save the file once I've modified it...Any help?

Also, another n00b question, occasionally i will try to ssh into one particular unit and it wont let me in because the "fingerprint" doesn't match.  This only happens with the occasional unit, but I was wondering how I could fix this? I assume that it would involve adding my devices "key" into the admin, ssh configuration page, but I really have no clue as I'm not too familiar with using SSH. Any help is much appreciated.

So I got my new control boards after RMA'ing the original ones since they hashed at 401-420ghs/ at stock clock

the new boards came with a weird antminer S1 firmware and all the FREQ clocks are for S1 (like 300M, 350M, 400M) and they were all set to 350M

after flashing latest firmware on bitmains website and changing clock to 218.75 they seem to be hashing ok.. although now one of them keeps getting a shitty x/- asic status

once you have edited the file you can do :wq to write and quit or just :q to quit without changes.

Not to mention you are throwing away 105-110~GH/s@1W/GHs per ant that you upgrade if you were under-volting. So for 0,46BT what you get is
a 350GH/s@250W upgrade compared to just keeping the S1, might as well just buy a S3+ instead.

Thanks so much!!! I was able to successfully overclock the units that I didn't have any problems SSH'ing into.
So that solves the first question! Now for this...

myname-mbp:~ myname$ ssh root@192.168.1.95

Could someone walk me through how I correct this? Like I said earlier, I assume it's as easy as copy and pasting a key into the config page but I (clearly) know very little about SSH...

My 2 B1's don't like overclock and will drop hash rate down to 440 after some hours.

My 2 B6's run great at 503gh so far, one for 36hrs and one for 20hrs.

Attention everyone!
You must have already noticed, the S3 is becoming less and less profitable, it's a mining machine that will never ROI.
This is the new BITMAIN,they are selling on pre-orders an over priced.
The only one's fault is us, because we buy their crap like hot cakes.
A company would never lower prices when they have no competition and they sell their products in seconds.
But there is a solution to all of this, we can correct this !

EVERYONE STOP BUYING THEIR CRAP!
This will force them to lower price and deliver on time so their units will start to ROI again.

Point us to a product with the same GH/W ratio and GH/$ ratio then, kind sir.
