Bitmain now announce the S3+, which is a revised version of S3 running stably at 453GH/s (frequency=225 MHz), while consumes 355 Watt power at the wall. Most of miners will be able to run up to 500GH/s but not guaranteed.

S3 is a great success product and almost sold out. The sale of S3+ is 0.58 BTC each including the international shipping, which starts on September 20th, 2014 or earlier. Sales open in the Beijing Time tonight 22:00 (UCT+8:00 Time Zone).

We strongly believe it is best choice of mining bitcoin for both the mining farm and the home miners.

So hows this diff from my B5, better firmware ?

They set the factory clock to 225M after the guinea pigs (i.e. batches 1-7 S3 buyers) successfully tested and confirmed that they can be stable up to 250M.  I think that's the only difference.

They've already stated that it is a new PCB design.

Back when I was doing scrypt it was common to do solo.  I'm assuming nobody does solo on BTC or?  because if I hit a block doing solo with current calc i would net 25 btc which would be 3 times the amount I paid for the 12 devices.  I'm doing 5.5thash now that i'm all oc'ed.  If i stick with a pool forever then I have zero chance of making 25 btc.  If I go solo and have some luck then within ~180 days I might hit one...

Any thoughts here on solo mining?

Each miner is stable at 218.75 stock frequency and averages 440 Gh/s per miner. 39C-40C average temps on each. I opted for one PSU per miner as I may decide to OC and got a good deal on them.

May never ROI at my electricity rates but I'm more of a hobbyist anyway...and this was a fun project.

Suffice it to say they won't fit into this bathroom though...I'll be putting them into a custom built room in a property I own that I previously used to host twelve of the S1s. That should give me at least 8 Th/s by the end of September.

I've got two S3 batch 5s running off of one thermaltake smart M 850W. Each S3 has two pci-e plugs. Each S3 is running at about 216 GH/s.

I was under the impression that each miner could run with only two plugs each. Am I mistaken?

2) New ebay scams: Sudden increase in the number of S3+ units for sale.

Under normal clock you need one power cable to each blade, sounds like you got two ports on one side powered instead of one each side

Can't believe after using Ants for a year, from large U2 farms, special drivers, etc, to standalones it is the newest product I am banging my head against the wall over.  From what I read Bitmain is using the S2s to power their mining. I don't blame them any used ones for sale?

Just got two, smell great, beautiful items, but I cant get them to work.  I suspect a config issue, but usually its 5mins.  Oh well my faith remains in this Company, though I still love the S2 most.

Do we know how many AntMiners per batch roughly?  Batch 7 Sold out faster than any batch I've seen yet.

Already taking orders for Batch 8 and Upgrade kits now...crazy.  Probably worth waiting till closer in...maybe...BTC prices dropping like they are may make it a bargain, but they could always jump back up.
