Half a day. Seems to be a consistent 4-6 hours between when I email them and when they reply. Always helpful and sorted me out with no dramas

Has to laugh at the s1 upgrade kit why would ya put all the parts in the kit to upgrade it to an s3 minus the 2nd fan when the s3 has the second fan there for a reason,,,, That very odd and strange not to have the 2nd fan in the upgrade kit

The parts list didn't include the case cover either. I could cynically suggest that the case cover has cosmetic value only. The omission of the second fan either demonstrates that the second fan is not really essential, or that Bitmain think that anyone upgrading would have previously overclocked their S1 and would therefore have fitted a second fan already. My vote goes for it being superfluous unless you overclock.

Ah...Just received my reply from China on what to do. Most of it already tried like trying another power supply but now will start to swap boards with other minders to see if it's the controller board or the blade.
I've been down the same rat hole. I finally asked them what the point of this was since I got a miner that can only do 428 without choking.

For some strange reason 2 out of my 5 Ant Miners require re-flashing every day to bring back up to stock speeds of 441 GH/s they appear to run stable for about 12 hours or so and then both just fall to circa 420 GH/s. I have tried everything, replacing the thermal paste, swapping around the PSU's, factory restart, reboot etc. The only thing that helps (For a short period of time) is if I flash the device again and again every 12 hours or so. Has anyone else got any thoughts on what else I could do? Or do I just have 2 faulty units?

The Bitmain website now includes a fan on the list I've considered running it without the cover just to see if it helps with the cooling on mine as I can only get it to hash stably at 212.5. My thinking behind this was the location of the control board which is now above the heatsinks and I was wondering if it was overheating, further testing required!

I don't really have anything helpful to say other than repeated flashing will probably do more damage than good over time.

I've observed something similar with hashrates dropping to around 420 , however I also see hash rates of 460-470. Basically there's a 10% variance both + and -. I now have 4 S3's and besides the faulty one now doing 229 the rest is up and running at 427 to 444. I also have a dragon 1 Th/s miner and also this one shows a variance of up to 8% both up and down. My observations after a week are that the hash rates somehow go up and down simultaniously. So if the Antminers are "slower' the Dragonminer seems to be slower as well.

S3+ for sales shipping starts on September 20th or earlier
omg, 5 weeks with no sales of S3's......
i wonder what they changed to make them + ?? revised hardware design makes the S3+ more stable at higher frequency. sounds good.

However, it all would still go sour if BTC continues to tank.

Did you buy your Dragon miner from http://bitcoin-miners.me/?? would you recommend 2 antminer s3 or 1 th dragon miner?

I downloaded the latest firmware and now hash rate is around 100. I noticed on the status page no freq is listed.
In the latest firmware it says "add frequency advanced setting". I can't find any info regarding this and think that is my problem.
I found you need to make sure "keep settings" is not checked and it fixed the problem.
Another update my miner went from hashing at 425 to 450 at 218 freq so this update looks good. (I had B1 S3)

I just noticed this on the bitmain site: https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/antMiner_S320140811.binThe notes just say "added advanced frequency" which means there is an extra tab for overclocking in the miner configuration page...just flashed now thought I would give a heads up to you all Edit: in order for the frequency and firmware to work and not come up blank, I used the "save settings" box when flashing the firmware, then after the flash is complete and the miner has rebooted, go to the miner config/advanced tab and hit apply on the frequency you want (it defaults to 237.5 and no idea why 100 is in there), then hit apply on the main miner config page to be safe, then reboot the miner...works for me!

I've had to run it with the cover off to do troubleshooting. Plus side is heat dispersion is about 3-5C better. Downside is it sounds like a vacuum cleaner with the case off. The case does a great job of dampening the fans. This noise has also turned me off to the S1 DIY kits.
