Hi Patrik,

I have a suggestion. Is it possible to add a random delay to the profit switcher switching the algorithm?

If I have a rig splitted in many miners and they all switch in the same second, sometimes (especially T-Rex and Gminer) can hang the system. AM thinks it will mine, but in reality the miner couldn't be closed and stops every other miner from doing anything too. Never saw this happen in rigs with less connected miners like 3-5. But rarely in rigs with 5+ miners and when they switch regularly.

The idea would be an editable "from/to" random delay (in seconds?), which will be added to the profit profile or properties of that miner. For Example: I turn it on, type in 10-30 seconds and the switch will add a random number between 10-30 to the switch.

Something like that. Maybe you have a better idea to integrate this. But I think you get the point Smiley

Keep up the great work!

I'm having trouble with remote GPU mining. When Awesome Miner changes algorithm or pool it doesn't show the change.

The miner Server was mining Ethereum on Nicehash, then changed to ProgPow on Zergpool. As you can see Awesome miner is reporting that it is still mining on Nicehash but the miner is actually mining on Zergpool like it should be. This does not effect my mining or profit, but it would be nice to have fixed. Thank You.
Do you have any thresholds or similar limits configured in the Options dialog, Profit switching section? If the profit switcher is configured to stay on a pool for a longer period of time, or that the increase in profit must be large enough, you can end up in a scenario like this where the profit switcher list another pool as more profitable - but no action is taken based on your configuration.

No that is not the case. It is doing the profit switching, it's just not showing the switch. that is why I showed the mining window so you could see that awesome miner had changed the algorithm and pool. It is just a problem that awesome miner does not show that it changed pools. If I hit the restart button it will try several times to start the miner before it will finally start, only to still show the wrong pool. If I manually stop and then start the miner, it will start the miner first try, and show the correct algorithm and pool. This only happens on the remote GPU labeled Server, the other miner labeled GTX1070 is local and it reports all changes fine.
1) Can you please also include a screenshot of the Pools tab in Awesome Miner (for the selected miner)
2) Can you please collect the log files for both Awesome Miner and Remote Agent and send me via:
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact
3) Please also include details like the time of the issue and the expected pool and so on.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion and the feedback!

A possible workaround would be to define a command line for a few of the miners to introduce a start delay. In the miner Properties, Command Line section, Before starting the mining software, you could try to enter the following command:
timeout 5
Please note that Awesome Miner will not wait forever for these kind of "slow" commands, but it might be enough to delay the startup a bit.

Hi Patrike,

i can´t export more than 7 coins. When i try to export my added coins, Awesomeminer only show a random list with 7 coins from 30 coins that i added.

But, if I copy the same launch parameters to the "Command line parameters to mining softwere" in Awesome Miner, then the miner crashes when launched in the same way.
So it's not about the launch parameters.
Please remove all command line parameters ("Parameters to mining software") you entered for the Managed Miner. Awesome Miner should automatically setup the command line. If you try to put in the same parameters manually as well, you may end up with some parameters being set twice.
I tested various launch options - nothing helped.
Usually I naturally launch without any parameters and miner crashes, as I described earlier.
What if you launch TeamRedMiner via Awesome Miner, then completely exit Awesome Miner right away. Is TeamRedMiner still crashing after a short while?
If I do this and close the agent immediately after launch, then everything works.
And if I then start the agent, then everything continues to work correctly.

If I do this and close the agent immediately after launch, then everything works.
And if I then start the agent, then everything continues to work correctly.
I think the issue here is that Awesome Miner sends API requests to TeamRedMiner right after launching it, but TeamRedMiner starts to process this request before fully initialized and becomes unstable. This is why it works fine if Awesome Miner (or Remote Agent) isn't running right after launching TeamRedMiner.

I will try to reproduce this as well by forcing many early API requests.

hello everyone.
a bit of a noobie question, but i have not found an answer through search. (or i didn't do my search criteria right)

Does the linux agent handle the O.C. on gpus with the set clocking parameters like on the windows version? or do i need something else to set it up?
or do i need to use claymore instead of phoenix to get it working?
or is there no support for clocking through linux agent?

i see there are ways to do it manually, but would like the easy of AM doing it for me.

cheers

Thanks for your questions.

GPU overclocking is supported by Remote Agent on Linux as well. The properties available for overclocking may not be identical as those available on Windows, so if you ever created a GPU Clocking Profile on Windows you will have to re-create it if you move to Linux.

I use AM overclocking profiles with agent on Linux. No problem. Can't even say the properties are different from those on windows.

Hi! I'm using this application on a system which is also used for other tasks. I need to run the miner as an administrator for -straps (it includes a 1080Ti), but this prevents the miner from being hidden, causing focus to be taken every time it profit switches. Is there a way I can hide (or minimise) the window while also running it as admin? I've tried consolestate /min and Quiet.exe, but consolestate /min doesn't work and when combined with Quiet.exe Awesome Miner thinks the miner has closed.

  - Notifications improved to include more details about the GPU causing the rule to trigger. (For triggers related to a specific device)
 Features
  - New tab for Remote Proxy miner discovery details (used for large scale mining operations only)
  - Miner group view can display the lowest miner temperature, configurable in the Options dialog, General section
 Mining software
  - Gminer 2.48
  - TeamRedMiner 0.8.1.1
  - SrbMiner-Multi 0.7.1
  - NbMiner 37.1
  - Nanominer 3.3.2
  - T-Rex miner 0.19.12
  - CpuMiner-Opt 3.16.1

  - Corrections to Remote Proxy
  - Correction to a profit switching scenario with Phoenix Miner
  - The web based miner group view will use the global setting for chip temperature display, similar to the Windows application
  - Correction to a scenario related to nVidia GPUs that could cause memory leaks. Note that nVidia drivers 460.x and 461.x have an internal memory leak as well, causing any process that monitors power usage to leak memory.
  - Correction to Telegram messages for additional users included in the default Administrator user group
  - Correction to a scenario where the same API port could be assigned to two Managed Miners

Awesome Miner - Complete solution to manage and monitor mining operations of ASIC, GPU and CPU miners
Optimized Antminer firmware - Increased hashrate, improved power efficiency and more features. For S9, S9i, S9j, T9+, L3+, S17, S17 Pro, S17+, T17, T17+, S19, S19 Pro, S19j, S19j Pro, T19

Good point, I will investigate if this is possible when launching with administrator permissions.

Thank you! Even if the user has to configure it manually, the option to launch via a tool like Quiet would be great.

This is probably just the way it works, but the Console at the bottom doesn't seem to work for hidden windows - it would be a great way to check the output of a local miner without needing to keep it visible.

Thanks for the report. Please make sure "IntelliBreeze Maintenance Service" is running (open "services.msc" in Windows). I suspect this one might have been blocked by security software or similar.

Thanks for the reply.

I ask because i don't even see my GPU's listed in the clocking tab. They are in the GPU tab, and i have a clocking profile set, but the memory is not clocked up according to the linux profile i made for ETH.
Running 18.04 ubuntu. should i try some other disto, or maybe the 20.04 version is better supported?
GPU's are gtx 1070's.

thanks for your continued efforts.   Smiley
