Oh my god

I'm trying to get into HYP - reading the charts, reading through the ANN and the rest of the thread, and reading the wiki.

Now I feel more lost than I was before!

Quote
Recommended Block Size - 4,500-20,000 HYP (see tutorial for splitting blocks)

What is the significance of block size?  How does a block between 4500 and 20000 affect/benefit the chain?

Another question - who's address is pasted here?

Thanks for any and all help.  Very excited to start hyperstaking!

Hyperstake is an awesome currency with a large userbase.  As a result it has a much higher POS difficulty than most any other POS coins so it takes some strategy to try and maximize your chances of getting stakes.  In general there are two camps in Hyp...the big blocksters and the small blockers.  Bigger blocks strategy is big blocks have more weight to them so should have a higher chance of hitting a stake quickly, but you have less of them and they have a lower %return.  Small block strategy is like stuffing the ballot box...each block might not have the best chance at staking alone but you have so many in the game you still overwhelm the competition, and when they do stake your %return is typically higher.

I have two wallets, one in each strategy...at the end of the day they are preforming pretty much the same so the easiest strategy to start is make blocks 4-6K, then set split theshold 2x that (ie 10-12K)....set it and forget it.

I am looking for a language like visual basic that I can use to query coin APIs and other APIs like cryptsy so I can make utilities to analyze crypto currencies like Hyperstake and to setup alerts as well. Presstab is there any software language that you could recommend for an intermediate programmer like myself?

PHP is pretty easy to setup and use, but definitely has its limitations. Could always use something like nodejs, python, etc. There are lots of already put together libraries in various languages to do these things. For example https://github.com/freewil/node-bitcoin

is there a new service features that will soon be updated?

I'm considering creating an automated staking pool and/or a hyperbank for an out-of-the-crypto community usage to begin with, but can't give you an ETA due to some technical reasons (like a new server, etc.).

Your block probably has been splitted into 2 new blocks of 4000 HYP. Leave them intact for further staking, but set up the stake split threshold to avoid future manual merging when blocks split into too small parts.

From what I have seen, HYP remains one of the most profitable coins to stake.
