Is the dev still active? Re-reading some posts, I'm just curious how this will work when implementing the anon features and future of this coin as it states in the ann post that it'll be community driven. I respect the idea, but I just want to be clear on the dev's intentions. Based on his/her past post history it seems they're genuinely interested in making a quality coin and everything has gone well so far, but I'm a little bit wary based on the comment about them not being a technical dev. Is that hinting that the work may have to be done by community members and those interested in the coin?
Hello! I am part of BTCD community now and I happen to be developing a cryptonote fork to add anon features to NXT. It turns out that my methods should apply to BTCD also. I will be working on integrating cryptonote tech into BTCD, but it is more than "just" cryptonote anon tech as I am also making my solution include a near realtime exchange (InstantDEX) so people can directly trade just by running the coin. How will all this work you ask? https://github.com/jl777/pNXT has the current source code and it is rapidly being developed. Once InstantDEX is done, I will be adding Privatebet (peer to peer sportsbook) to the pNXT framework, plus the way it is implemented there is no reason any other number of useful services cant be added. My efforts are in parallel with all the other BTCD coders and I try to design a clever way to integrate to require minimal changes to the BTCD codebase. So, if I succeed, then all the peoples selling at current prices will not be so happy. There is no reason that other anon tech in BTCD can't combine with the cryptonote tech, in fact pushing tx through two independent anon algos would only help if it is done properly. So, I bring very good news to BTCD and now I expect a massive in increase in the FUD level James P.S. I am not so active on BTT, but you can find out more about me on NXT forums and jl777.org

This certainly qualifies as "never been done before" That being said, I am fulltime+ (100+ hrs per week) on this and I do code pretty fast, so I hope to be done by end of summer with initial release Also, the amount of people who help test can really accelerate the timeframes, especially with network stuff, I literally cant create the real world scenarios that a half dozen active testers can. Currently, things are "early alpha" James

Holy shit, I didn't sell much and held most of it, but now I'm super pissed i even sold what I did for 17500. Damn I feel stupid right now. But if I didn't hold 80% I'd be jumping of a building right now lol

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

Edit: Point is people talk fucking big (including the Devs) and then they mess around. Having said that i am holding few to see how it goes, i can put another BTC but not sure if it is worth it.

I'd guess that most people that can see where this coin is going have already rented mining rigs and are raking in a ton of coins. The profitability even at the current price is very good; it's better to mine it. the current difficutly is over 4 million, when I look at the pools I see multiple workers over 35TH, shits crazy.
