It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

So I was having a peek on coinmarketcap.com and ive noticed a coin @ #37 called "jl777hodl" is this the bytecoin fork testing for implementation with bitcoindark, if so then wow, do you ever sleep? Your speed and devotion amazes me. This pNXT fork is not buyable or minable correct?

Hey id10tothe9,

Currently you can build the pNXT server from https://github.com/jl777/pNXT. Compilation is no more difficult than any other unix software, just install dependencies and your good to go. If you need any help I'm more than happy to help you. As far as production deployment goes Jl777 is currently the sole developer on pNXT, currently he updates several times a day with updates into the development in this thread.

If it doesn't go up today I think it will 'crash' a little bit to 140-150k, but that's better to get rid of those weak hands. People want to make a quick profit.

On the other side, there are a lot of people that bought in at 180-200k, and they don't want to lose money

the biggest BTCDPool.com SHA miner got paid out 88 BTCD last shift ... http://btcd.explorer.ssdpool.com:9050/tx/133e2dc06257ff4f29bf818acd003a944a49b61e17d91bbc1eb4e64a0fdce140 ..
... tons of miners got between 5-9 BTCD..
Not sure how the other pool works but at the end of every shift all of the BTC earned from the confirmed coins that shift (that has been used to buy BTCD incrementally throughout the shift) is sent out according to how much work each miner did, for each completed round that was finished that shift.
I tracked down the cause of the autopay failure - i had forgot to add the pool's wallet as a cryptsy trusted address.  that has now been done and it should be smooth sailing from here.

This means that everyone doesn't get screwed if some mega huge miner hop on the pool for 3 hours of every shift and does an obscene number of shares - when they leave the pool and are no longer playing a part in the blocks that are being solved, they will get zero of the reward from those blocks.

No one knows where this will end up tomorrow, but what you said is correct.  A lot of new money went in at those levels.  There is a lot of btc waiting on the sidelines that isnt on the books,  I know this becuase I have 8 sitting on the side and I know 2 other people as well with similar amounts.
