ps james should hold training sessions for other coin developers and teach them a few things about how to responsibly develop crypto coins. i've never seen such consistant clear communication as well as actual progress, and the fud trolls don't even phase him - it just rolls right off like water off a duck's back.
there are lots of coins that would give just about anything to have a developer of his calibre working on their coin - we are extremely fortunate to be holding onto this coin thanks to his (and many others) efforts!

hey guys, I have lowered the payout threshhold to 0.5 BTCD on BTCDPool.com - next payout cycle will include everyone over 0.5 BTCD
great news! i hope see my payout very soon!!  I've mined there for a day which should result in well over 0.5BTCD, yet still no automated payout. He also isn't replying to message or in the threads. Will stay away for now until he responses and clears things up. Have you used my pool? The official BTCD multipool: http://btcd.xpool.caCheers! I have tried it and I can say that if I mine LTC and exchange it for BTCD is x3 more profitable. Yeah was a bad day for scrypt at xpool, but honestly, the payments have always been on time and the pool has been reliable since launch. You really can't make an opinion on 1 or 2 days of mining on a new multipool, unfortunately many do which stunts the growth. More hashes would definately help avoid the good/bad days. |

Why not implement password d=XXXX so that competent miners can set their own difficulty? i would also agree with this, you need a dificulty set by pass, i tried with my GPU that is about 2.5mh on x11 and there is no point to have a vardif of 0.004 and somethimes 0.008 when it could be at least 0.01 for 2.5mh having a diff of 0.004 its just a waste of resources |

ok so I've been reading about POS trying to figure out why I have such a low rate of accepted mined blocks on my wallet (like 2 accepted out of 12!). My understanding till now is that when my stake finds a POS block it gets broadcasted to the network, but at almost the same time another person finds a block, so we get a fork then the longer chain gets accepted. Since I have such a low rate, I think I'm not connected to enough nodes (or not connected to important nodes) so my found block gets broadcasted much slower and I end up losing it because the larger part of the network has established another one. Does that make sense?
In that case is there a config file or a list of nodes to connect to and get a better penetration into the network?

I had lots of problems getting a new wallet to sync when I was using a bunch of the newer addnodes - kept getting stuck on different blocks. I posted once about this pages ago.
Just use a single addnode line in your config, and have it be the original one that we all used when we first got the wallets working:
addnode=107.170.59.196
at least one of those other addnodes from the OP is botched somehow. Try and fire up a new wallet with a -datadir= parameter and a whole new config file and see what i mean.

Are you using the conf file from the op? aaaah now I see the config parameters, I somehow just skipped over that and have no config file in my wallet I'll try that now. |

400 scam cryptocurrencies and you ladies think this one is any different. LOL Maybe it is. Why release a coin and then build it? Why not code it and then release? A little common sense goes a long way.
What's with the bots trading on Cryptsy anyway? Is that supporting the price while you code or is it price fixing while you stall? Time will tell.
Sorry if I'm a bit skeptical, been burned too many times to count to trust a faceless name especially a former Forex trader. Oh wait I forgot Instantdex is going to be the next JP morgan, or something like that. Where have i heard that one before? LOL We'll see.
I don't trust this coin is not another huge disaster waiting to happen. I completely expect that this coin will collapse at any minute. A lot of people may be getting ready to lose a lot of money if this turns out to be a scam. Even if it's not a scam the price could crash at any minute due to incompetence. Buyer beware.
Everyone remember when Obama tried to convince everyone he was like Jesus? "...contrary to popular opinion I was not born in a manger..." yada yada Well that turned out not to be true also.
Bitcoindark is going above DRK. It's going to be in the top ten on Coinmarketcap. etc. etc. Empty promises.
Just code the damn coin and release it like Satoshi did. Save the empty promises for someone who gives a crap.
I believed when bitcoindark come out it don't even have a dev. bitcoindark don't have in house dev it give out bounty for it. It is just crazy if you ask and wondered so many people get burned! |

Your analogy is pretty bad. For one, Obama did not try to convince people he was like Jesus. People joke and make off handed comments all of the time which are not intended to be taken serious (which means it can't be stated that he 'was trying to convince people'). For two, you stated a premise and then declared it to be false which, by rhetorical construction, implies either that he never tried to convince people or that his attempt to convince people was false indicating that he is indeed like Jesus. Logic 101 - phrasing order and punctuation are important. As for the rest...I don't know. But the dev has a coin named after him that is pretty darn innovative...jlhcoin/asset. Regardless of the order in which he entered the project, he seems stout...more stout than a majority of the coins out there. |
