As SuperNET goes up in price BTCD will tag along
James
This gave me the mental picture of a little boy holding his mother's hand, walking down a sidewalk together I guess boys like to run ahead of their moms... There you have it . I wasn't sure if BTCD was the boy or his mother. Although, I never stuck with my Mom... always ran ahead . For now, I hope BTCD can hang back a little longer. Need to pick up some more under .005, if at all possible 95,964

Apologies, this is off topic, but..... what is going on with Ripple Who's pouring all the cash into this project They're approaching an 800 million market cap and my "something shady" alarm is ringing and it's hurting my head. James, do you have a take on this?

James, do you have a take on this? we have a few hundred BTC traded on polo due to all this in ripple there was a 17 million buy order, so that triggered allthis what people dont realize is that in ripple you can place an order for any size WITHOUT having any funds in your account other than the minimum needed to place orders!! So it would be quite easy to make it look like a massive orderbook demand, backed by nothing. then buy and sell to your self, commission free. so a few thousand dollars being traded back and forth can create millions of demand. Something like that, or all Russians are buying XRP. James

Ripple has just turned south. Not sure whether temporary or not. If not, then I doubt 10% is all it's going to be. Question is, where will the money go to next?

Why the talk about (suck) Ripple? A centralised mess which is only good for banks and government.
Hope it will crash soon and die silent

The latest shift for the BitcoinDark multipool paid out over 25 BTCD to miners on all three algos! We need to have some more mining support over here at this pool. It's slowly picking up a little though. Prices are starting to climb so this is a good reason to point more hash at the pool. These prices won't last for much longer as BTCD and SuperNET are nearing their v1 release. Cheers!

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

Still no single connection If you haven't already, may want to try without the .conf file Mr. Morris. I've never used one and never had a syncing problem..... it just took 30 minutes or so to grab some solid peers back in July, when i first downloaded wallet. Worth a shot, at least 130,043

We've bee up to 300000 several weeks back. So, is "weight" = "coins"? Yes, as far as I know, you are correct . The NW weight is equal to the total number of coins staking at any given time.

The NW weight is equal to the total number of coins staking at any given time. that is not clear i think there is a significant discount and adjustments to this You can test it by taking some coins off staking and putting in back on and seeing if the weight changes 1:1 I think it is more like 1:3 or more, so it needs to be multiplied to estimate the actual number of coins staking

James, by 1:3 do you mean if the NW weight is 1, then there are likely 3 coins staking? Or vice versa?

James, by 1:3 do you mean if the NW weight is 1, then there are likely 3 coins staking? Or vice versa? if NW weight is 100,000 then at least 300,000 staking this ratio could be as high as 10! the thing is that it is always fluctuating. so when you get a block, you lose some time "recharging" now since the largest stakes are most likely to get a block, that means at any given point in time, the recent history would be mostly large accounts that got them. So, the natural effect would be to reach an active value that is much, much lower than the actual coins staking. There is probably a way to get a much better idea of the true number, but I am not familiar enough with this aspect to do it myself James P.S. I have seen the NW go below the number of coins I had staking, so I am sure a lot more coins are staking than the network weight. In fact I look at my current wt vs coins and it is 4:1, so you can look at your ratio and see how it changs over time

Couple of questions I've been meaning to ask for some time and which others may perhaps also be interested in knowing the answer to: Can you control the amount staked by a wallet or is it always automatically determined? Also: why is the amount of the balance as shown in the block explorer less than what's shown in the wallet? Thanks in advance
