Anon - which seems to be the flavour of the moment - would probably be my first choice for an added feature.

Agree anon would be a good feature to add. However being a non-techie I'm going to ask some basic questions:

1, What type of anon features should be implemented?
To my mind the 'anon' coins fall into two camps

• coins that superficially offer anonymity, however do not truly deliver are not widely regarded as delivering anonymous transactions - just trying to cash in on the buzz imo.
• coins purporting that they will deliver anonymous transactions but are still being developed - with no certainty that they will/ can deliver on promise.

2, Are we looking to leverage anon functionality in an existing coin (if so which coin?) or are we looking for someone to pitch a new anon solution?

3, Are we looking to see which coin emerges from the battle for anon superiority and adopt those features (assuming the code is open source and compatible)?

4, Bearing 1-3 in mind, what should the budget and timescale be?

Questions really for the community... would really appreciate answers at a relatively high level (at this stage)...  

To me, the easiest way to go probably would simply be to implement DarkSend after its opensourced (believe they planned to opensource it soonish, although haven't kept track). But I have no idea how easy it'd be to incorporate or how the masternode stuff would work with GPC. I do think the idea of GPC masternodes (1K per node) all paying staking rewards could be popular, and at current prices, rather profitable for GPC people. As a comparison, a 1K node for Drk is like 9-10 btc each right now.

No idea as to what budget would be needed to incorporate it, but I see no reason to reinvent the wheel.

We'd just be a 'me too' coin if it could even be done ..
Do we really want to try and take on CLOAK/DRK/KEY/XMR etc etc ??
They've got big leads over us and deeper pockets ..


 

You misunderstand ... no need to take on other anon coins, nor worry about competition. DarkSend will go open source at some point, assuming their code passes testing. Just reuse what exists, no giant dev teams needed, and I wouldn't view it as a competition. It's simply adding value to GPC based on existing code, and probably minimal work (at least compared to inventing DarkSend to begin with).

You misunderstand ... no need to take on other anon coins, nor worry about competition. DarkSend will go open source at some point, assuming their code passes testing. If we adopt 'anon' at some point in the future and XMR is open source at that time ..
I think we should give it a good look along with DRK/darksend ..
Who knows.. perhaps darkwallet ( bitcoin project ) will be 'anon' enough for our purposes ..

XMR is a cryptonote coin. The code to use ring signatures is freely available now and is open source, which is how come XMR and cryptonote clones (BBR, etc) exist in the first place.

But I expect that would require a major overhaul, basically swapping GPC to a new Cryptonote coin... don't think you can just stick cryptonote code into GPC's code and expect it to work.

Until Darksend is opensource, your guess is as good as mine. There could be definite complications due to needing masternodes ... Drk uses mining rewards for payouts, but of course GPC doesn't have mining, therefore staking rewards would need to be used. I doubt it'd be simple... but it has to be simpler than making DarkSend from scratch.

And I wouldn't take general comments about many anon coins that seriously yet -- fud is rampant all over. Last time I checked there was a 3rd party review going on for Drk, and they are finalizing RC4. Once open source, we'll know how well things work.... DarkSend has been working by the way, just not at full speed. And nothing is fully, 100% anonymous.

Ring Signatures may be better, but no idea how to implement it here. They also have that bloat problem with the blockchain.

Without need send documents  etc ......if  you can  implement  this  i will probably buy 2 milions of GPC

This can create good profits  buying  GPC for USD(BTC current value)...to make arbitrage with BTC  with another exchanges from another countrys
