where  is the dev? are you chinese?
No we are not Chinese, we only speak English. The currency code ends with CN because the C and the N in CryptoNite are the first letters of each syllable, and it starts with X because that's the ISO standard for global currencies. I'm not sure if the currency code had anything to do with why two Chinese exchanges have listed XCN, but I highly doubt it.

Are you an Indian??
"we only speak English"
He is a Chinese who only speak English

Or is a Kryptonian that only speaks English.

Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

Dev, what  about  https://bittrex.com/ ?
We don't have control over any exchange, all we can do is ask them. If you really want them to add XCN to their exchange then try contacting them yourself. If they have enough people asking for it then they might add it.

Very simple pool software has been developed for anyone wanting to start a pool.

https://github.com/MiniblockchainProject/SimplePool

Requires the latest minerd and wallet code. Pool has a hard limit of about 8000 core connection in current implementation, corresponding to 16k getwork request/second. Updates to minerd would change this 8000 machine connections. Pool just writes share info out to a log file. Parsing thing for payments is up to you. The hard part of that is checking for orphans. Tested insofar that shares are being generated and checked inside of wallet. Have not managed to mine a block with it yet.

I'm sure any exchange that decides to list XCN will contact us. So far we haven't actually contacted any exchanges, they have contacted us. We will reach out to more exchanges and do more marketing when Cryptonite is a bit more mature. What we could use more than another exchange right now, is a good pool and a blockchain explorer.

Linux. I'm just trying out binaries but have incompatible db.
Would also really prefer to compile myself because of the architecture optimisation...

Are you getting any connections to peers? Check your firewall settings if you're not. You might also be getting banned for some reason, I'm not really sure what your issue is, you might have to wait for catia to return. Also check your debug.log file and see if it reveals anything more about the nature of the problem.
