Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Any update for those of us who mined on the 'official' pool and received no payout?  Thanks!

Yep, please give us an update bitsta. Sent you a message 2 days ago. No reply :/

to all who didn't get a payout from the official pool. please send me a PM with your ROOT-addr for compensation.
I ve got PM's from about 5-6 ppl. With hashrates between 1.5 and 40 MH/s.
I ll provide a fair compensation for all of you.

EDIT: also add your mining ADDR to the PM.

PM sent.

Man this coin is hard to mine. supernova hasn't found a block for over an hour!

yeah i know. but we posted that from the very beginning.
that root wass going to be hard to mine. And tbh, we re settling the diff
at a lower area at the moment. ROOT will be harder to mine towards
the end of this or next week. we even had discussions inside the community
regarding an adjustment of the block-subsidy.

So those are all just precaustions to secure the ROOT-market and
to satisfy the investors.

but with bitkey beta beeing released towards end of this/next week
i am sure it s worth every hash.

cheers,
bitsta

Please halves the block and put a buying support ? Smiley

Are you kidding??

Everyone's already saying how hard the mining is!! This mining is very healthy for this coin!  I would say it is almost perfect, if anythkng the POW phase should be extended by 2 weeks to allow for some greater distribution.

Once the rest of crypto world learns abt ROOT, everyone will want to mine it and that will push the hash rate and the VALUE way up!

Now this coin maybe hard to mine but 72 hours on the official pool with 0 payouts is unacceptable.

Im sorry to say, but this is what you could have expected. I wish you good luck, please dont give away to much precious goods, only if they can PROVE that they mined or so. Wink

edit: this can be achieved by for example supplying a picture of them with their mining rig on the background, or the email or whatever confoirmation which you get when renting a rig.

The pool surely has logs of what addresses mined on it, so if someone claims ownership of that address, the wallet has that handy signing feature right? so you can make people prove they own the address.

earlz just posted that he wrote a pretty negative review of rootcoin.
He mentioned the 500 mined blocks at launch and stated that they re mined before launch.
please just check the launchtime + blockchain.

anyone interested in his review can read it at his gitrepo. i am not going to let it posted here
as that guys review is as serious as the asiacoin dev.

EDIT: He also posted that i made distrocoin. Funny enough that this guy is not able to
differentiate between selfmade projects and contributions to others. lol...

I ve added all INFOS to the OP. just check the coin-specs section.

I think this coin is difficult to mine due to the fast increase in difficulty.

5-10 GH/sec may seem like nothing for Scrypt these days. I remember with Litecoin even 1-2 GH/sec was a lot. Now the miners are very powerful.

It will be interesting to see if the high difficulty to mine is reflected in the price.

many miners powerful with new technologies,
and because many miners to mine with that powerful,
very rapid increase in difficulty but are not offset by price is not high enough to make a profit, because of the high cost of electricity.  Huh

So, beta-BitKey will be tested by selected individuals in testnet? How long will beta testing run for before the official release?

well there will be a public beta-release. date of "beta"-removal depends on the feedback of the users
and stability of the bitkey-package. so once we release the beta, bitkey will be available for everybody.

p.s. we re already testing the package.

Really?

As far as I can see that is only useful for anonnydevs on newbie account.  Everyone knows who bitsta is already. He's been around the scene for a long time
