I have optimized synchronization code, next version will sync much faster.
DarkCoin code is pretty complicated, sometimes for no reason (if you are interested I can point you to examples). I want to make simpler and cleaner implementation which is easier to understand and easier to done right. I will prioritize instant transactions over anonymity since they are simpler to implement and I think they are useful for more people than DarkSend. After new year I will have hell of a lot of free time, so I hope in the second half of January we will have some code for public testing, maybe sooner.
Not even worried about it Mr. Spread You know what you are doing and you obviously have a great plan for this coin so I'm happy you touched base with the community and what you have been up to and totally look forward to seeing what comes out next my friend Cheers Your boundless enthusiasm is interesting but can you give a single reason why an investor would be sensible to invest in this coin? Mr Spread, as I have said before, has proven himself to be a very capable developer. We now know that ITX has been prioritized above anonymity which is a pretty decent decision. Apart from that, what should make me scuttle to the exchange with my little bag of BTC and buy Spreadcoin? In reference to the earlier mining conversation, I easily get 2.5Mhs out of my 290x mining Darkcoin but only the provided GPU miner seems to work and I can only get 1Mhs out of it regardless of settings.

I think it's a good idea. It will get more people involved. A coin is only as strong as the community that wants to use it. Again I think the coin has huge potential, but we need to put a lot of energy (technical, creative) in it.

Doesn't matter, it could be 0.00001MH/s as long as everyone else with a 290 is getting the same. In fact, a super low power hashing algo would be great, the problem is making it sufficiently hard to 'optimise' - I wonder if something like the CRC style checks that games use to ensure people aren't running hacked code could be used to make sure everyone's running the exact same miner? It's proof of work, not proof of electricity consumption... the argument that mining costs translate into coin price is wishful thinking. There hasn't been anything profitable or even break-even at time of mining for a very long time.

@ Mr.Spread How do you plan to handle the intensity and other single/multi gpu configs and settings ? I have some tips if you're willing to include a Win7 mining tweaks/ guide. eg. How to's on, disabling media player/ internet browser hardware acceleration, driver updates, ect. The best way to achive a high level of decentralization would be to win over the single gpu/cpu users/newbies by making their involvement as seamless and as hassle free as possible. If successful, the swarm will leave the privkey whales with little to no WUs to feed on. Poor whale... Right now it is only about removing the necessity to create and edit spreadcoin.conf, I didn't yet thought about adding GPU mining to GUI. You would probably be able to set mining parameters and start mining from GUI, instead of creating new console window it will output all info back to GUI. For this we'll need some good default parameters, mining guide is also appreciated. Mining guide is useful anyway, regardless of the presence of the GUI mining. The price and trading volumn are falling down as well.
Good time to buy But yeah, we need promotion. I made a 4000 SPR (40 SPR per person) giveaway on cryptocointalk some time ago, hard to say how much had it helped to promote SpreadCoin, some people just generated addresses directly on exchanges and sold them immediately. I think we need a promotional team or at least one person, which will organize and handle contests such as signature contest proposed by frontbumper and also promote by any other means. What do you think? Do you want to be in Team Spread? Or maybe SpreadTeam? Some better name is necessary I think.

Perhaps: SpreadCoin Development I could do the graphic design (or if Susel wants to do it, since he designed the logo, he already said he wanted to do the landig page in the thread) Think we need: - paperwallet (spreadcoinaddress.org or subpage spreadcoin.net) - IOS Stuff (Bounties) - SpreadCoin Gambling? (Always good so you can actually do something with the coin) - You Tube Video Contest (Bounty)(To also put on landing page) - Signature Contest, also actual signature campaign - MasterNode implementation Time Frame (Not trying to rush you Mr. Spread but the anticipation is high ) These are my thoughts for now.

Yes,we need a team for promotion, development,PR,etc. I would love to be on TeamSpread but I don't really know how much I have to offer to the group. I mean I could write an article about the coin for TheCryptoCurrencyNews.com website and hope that people read it Of Course that could also happen if Mr. Spread was willing to PM me in regards to some of the features and implementations that he has already made public that he is entertaining the community with Then I would have no problem being part of TeamSpread because I believe we need to Spread the word about this coin and help get it going better because the concepts and ideas behind this coin are quite revolutionary and will put SpreadCoin on the map as one of the top CryptoCurrencies of the world!! Cheers

I could arguably hold the title of Darkcoin's number one fan. Which could be good or bad (if you've ever seen The Incredibles): Ok, here it is, in all its beauty. Top 50 Posters, all fabulously awesome people. It includes all 3133 pages, today. If this has any value for you, and if you like to see more, consider a donation: XtAdMy5nSxArut6rKKLQXxm84rpJNipXibSo, I'm officially outed. My strategy has been: 1. Keep the conversation bumping until the project is where it is, out of pre-production and into production 2. Keep the thread on page 1 3. Trying to get people thinking about the various possibilities 4. Provide some level of balance to the people who would assume this is all about using a currency for illegal use 5. Do research for lazy people 6. Broadening the conversation with external content, where possible 7. Random amusement - you need to have a little light fun when creating something big 8. Bumping the thread off mostly trolled pages 9. Keep those thread update notification emails going out 10. Troll and FUD watch I'll be glad to leave this forum once the thread is locked. Most of the useful and valuable conversations are now taking place on the darkcointalk forum. Now we are in production, my post count will likely drop. Well done everyone - the project is nearly live. So many projects fail to see themselves past the alpha - beta stage. We are ready for adoption. Our business in now north, to the moon I have also been known to produce information to give investors and generally those who need it, some information to help them decide if they want to be part of a project, and or to stop FUD. Hi,
I don't wish to step on coins101's toes but I am not verified at any of the exchanges and don't intend to go through those processes again either. There are only so many unknown companies I am willing to send copies of my passport etc to!
I am interested in buying 5k SPR. Do get in touch with an offer if you are interested.
Thanks,
Dan
