Suprised there is not more talk on the big sell off. It's suspect Volder is doing it as he normally knows insider info, regardless of his claims he doesn't.

This has me and a lot of others very worried. Anyone know anything?

If it was just volder I would say no big deal...But when other big people follow suit...ya I'd be worried...they even all almost say the same reasons for wanting to get out...But they might be stuck...cause who has that amount of cash lying around

Dreams of cyprto solving everything is slowly slipping away...Replaced by scams/hacks Sad

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Yea, they know something but obviously can't say that. Suppose they think we are dumb enough to believe they have no inside info. It's been know for a long time Volder did, but not sure about Russian.

You are probably going to have to wait for a long time to see the end.

After yesterday, the payouts minus the increasing fees, are starting to equal everybody else (by my ass calculations). Maybe that's why the whales are getting out?

edit (after fees):
yesterday's true payout: 0.000391483125 / MH
today's true payout: 0.00041946125 / MH

Seems about par with WestHash. I'm doing better, so far, with a G-Blade hashing custom scrypt selections.

This reminds me of a typical btc crash panic. Someone decided to sell, all others think he has insider info and sell too, but what if all sell and nobody wants to buy? Crying and blaming...
I read this interesting post on hashtalk and think you should too:

I am sure @volder just needs airfare and room and food to come to the conference... Smiley LOL but in all seriousness, there is no issue with anything. If a man wants to sell his hashlets, then let him. This community is by far the strangest IMO. Josh goes above and WELL BEYOND to hook you guys up. This community is by far the most blessed community but the weird thing is nobody notices that. It seems like you guys get everything you asked for and then continue to want more and more and more when there is literally nothing else to give. Due to the nature of the amazing service gaw offers, makes them to top competitor in cloud mining and just crypto services in general. However, i guess it is a slippery slope. I myself am a Miner and FinalHash, LLC has plenty of rigs and contracts (mostly for private customers). I can tell you that my managers do not come close to the level of bending over backwards that josh's team does. (I'm the CTO so don't do as much customer service as my managers) And yet it seems like you guys are more dissatisfied than satisfied. Just my thoughts is all guys. So, i digress. No @volder  is not selling his contracts because of some "BIG PROBLEM" or any kind of stupid crap like that. Can't a man just sell some miners without getting crap loads of flak from everyone?

Bought 1 MHs a while back and kinda forgot bout it Smiley. As far as I can remember (would have to check debit card history though...) I paid like 25 bucks for it. Seems like I got one mhs more as a gift and now I can sell them both for total of ~$50. Are they really going to buy it back for twice the price?

Which one is the gift? Some sell quite well, like Zen. I can't sell Waffle for a week now. I don't know about Primes, but you can go ahead and let us know how it works out for you Smiley

Remember, it only sells if someone buys it for a full price on ZenCloud (last time I looked it wasn't linked with gawminers.com or resellers)

So a buddy of mine on the site got banned under the guise of "attacking a moderator".. All he was saying was regardless if it's true or not, people think Volder has inside info. And as Volder has stated himself, he talks to Josh daily which makes this whole thing extremely suspect.

As far as the moderator goes - He basically just said why are you even responding to my comment - it's specifically directed at Volder and has nothing to do with you.

So basically - Not even directly saying insider trading is going, but merely saying the perception is there and has caused damaged to the trust of the company gets you shadow banned.

I think they both stand to make a decent amount of money if they can sell those accounts and for that there doesn't have to be any sinister motivation or insider knowledge (aside maybe from the initial buy-in at $16). It's just the fact that volder the cheerleader is bailing makes a lot of customers uneasy. Even if he doesn't have inside info this makes it look like he doesn't believe there is a lot of upside in the future. The only "reason" for the sell off as far as I could see was that he needs cash for his reseller business but that was posted by someone else, not volder himself.

And yes, there are many 100+ and some 1000+ accounts for sale. I doubt they'll be getting anywhere near $40 per.

One I bought is Prime one I got as a gift is Solo. Put them both on sale, will let you know how fast (or if Smiley) they sell.

Agreed and one of the major issues I have is the fact I personally sent Josh a fairly lengthy and detailed letter explaining the perception of Volder's inside info over a month ago... And obviously nothing was done, because Volder continued to imply and make references to what he knew and how chummy him and Josh are. They refer to each other by NAME, not by screen name.

The reasoning for my email was to prevent something EXACTLY like this from happening. So, frankly Josh knew about this issue long ago and didn't nothing - So, this fiasco is their fault  completely. I don't care if it's true or not, it's what people think that really matters. Very seldom is the truth important anyway. Perception is 99% of reality, and people are upset, worried, and doubting GAW heavily and rightfully so.

Finally they are throwing a bone to Genesis owners by raising payout. (Yes I own some, don't ask me why...)

I wonder if that has anything to do with big Genesis owner ru55ian putting his account on the market and complaining that he wasn't making enough.

Do you mean re-adding NiceHash, or is there something else going on?

I wonder what they did (if anything) to protect against NH pump.

No, Josh specifically stated it's still possible and they will monitor the situation daily, but he had to do something for SHA because of the horrible returns.

Well that's what I was expecting but it sounds like the big guys selling is putting some fear into the masses. If this is a ponzi (which I totally believe it is for whatever that is worth) then fear on the part of investors is just the kind of thing that would make it fall apart.

They didn't re-add NiceHash but the top paying "pool" is now at .0000255 which was about what nice was before they removed it.

I think they protect against pump by just making up the numbers now instead of pretending to follow real pools.
