people open your eyes.

the premine is not 1%, it seems it's 10% according with this https://github.com/Sterlingcoin/Sterlingcoin-Linux-Source/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L980.

In pow/pos coins the premine must be calculated on PoW.. total supply is PoW only, not PoW+PoS..

according to the link provided above, Sterlingcoin devs premine is 639,000 SLGs (like posted in OP), which is the 1% of 63,900,000..

but 63,900,000 is the MAX_MONEY that wallets can generate in all Sterlingcoin's life (check this), not the PoW supply.. REAL PoW supply is 6,390,000, so the premine is in truth something like the 10%.

Be careful.

It is true that the premine was around 10% of the PoW supply.. however it is also true that 575,000 coins, which is around 90% of the full premine) was used on the spacedrop and as such has been given to the community.

So, on the dev's hands they have do have around 1% of the PoW coins.. From this part they also have to pay for bounties and other stuff...

(PS: I am not defending the dev team.. just trying to make things clear)

Im not attacking devs, i just want things are clear. OP says 1% premine, this is not true.

as the OP states, it would seems that the total premine is 1% and the 4% of total premine is actually in the hands of devs.. this mean, in other words, the 0,04% of total supply (4% of the 1%).. this is not true.. the truth is: 0.4% of total supply is actually in hands of devs.. "only" 10 times more than what OP states..

There was a 1% Instamine of the 63,900,000 Sterlingcoin Coin Amount which was 639,000 Sterlingcoin.

575,000 Sterlingcoin (90% of Instamine) for the Spacedrop.
39,000 Sterlingcoin (6% of Instamine) will be used for giveaways and bounties.
25,000 Sterlingcoin (4% of Instamine) will be used for development, support and server costs.

This is all outlaid in the OP, what's and where is the confusion?

The actual Sterlingcoin held by the devs now is at 32402.0324659:

22402.0324659 at address SiEnzF5WQ6WpbwymCrE1RGdxTR9mZB9gNK and 10,000SLG with LiteBit to act as a buffer for people buying Sterlingcoin.

Block 0 - Genesis Block (coins are lost to the ether)
Block 1 - 50 Coins (we took these coins)
Block 2 - 638950 (the instamine minus 50 coins which with the Block 1 amount equals the entire instamine)

We then stopped mining and released the wallets and people mined from block 3 onwards.

In terms of placement on the richlist we are around 30th and that total amount is split between Spencer, Matthew and Steven, so in actuality we are not even on the richlist :p

THE ENTIRE SPACEDROP WAS RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC - http://goo.gl/zyOsZq (11499 Transactions)

man you arent hitting the point.. your calcs of 1% premine was on MAX_MONEY, while ALL know that premine must be calculated on PoW supply only, not on PoW+PoS.. this mean your premine is not 1%, but rather 10%.. this is all, im not interested on where you spent the premine, im only talking about real numbers

You are not hitting the point!!!. They hold coins worth 0.28 275 000 BTC. In dollar that is 88 dollar. Please get youself informed before you start to write complains. All numbers are on the first page.

This coin is not scsy. That is a scamcoin that you are involved in. And GIMP is a bad word for  people with disabilities. Man your are a disgrace.

Just so everyone is aware, the Linux source of Sterlingcoin 1.4 Full Release and Lite Edition will be live on Github from tomorrow at some point after block 112000 for the exchanges, nodes and services to get updated prior to the public release on Monday 22nd December.

If you are running Linux this of course means you do have early access, however the links to the wallet on the website, reddit, sourceforge, bitbucket and cnet will remain 1.3 until Monday the 22nd of December and only GitHub will have the source available.

We thought it best to announce this before people jump at the chance of saying we have released the wallet early which publicly we have not.

In the same breath we may hold it on a private repo still.

Well done to Logocreator for the entry, however there is more to this than meets the eye, please let me explain.

We posted the competition on Bitcointalk with a set prize fund of 1500SLG.

Logocreator won.

Steve paid him (without notifying me, or telling me and me forgetting) 1500SLG one week ago.

I message Logocreator for his wallet address yesterday after posting he had won and sent him 1000SLG.
(My mistake as I hadn't taken into account Mr Bee adding 500SLG into the prize fund and should of been 1500SLG)

I then message Matthew and Steven to notify them that I had paid Logocreator and at this point Steven Saxton tells me he has already paid him one week ago.

So I message Logocreator this message:

Hi Logocreator,

Steven Saxton notified me that you had already been awarded 1500SLG a couple of weeks ago, sorry I hadn't taken that information in as he said he had told me already.

Please could you return 1000SLG to Sa5Yn2mGXLH9hES3DKMbUDHC5kyCneHqpG Grin

This is the transaction of the original 1500SLG from Steven:

Status: 31325 confirmations
Date: 11/22/2014 18:52
To: logo creator SavvUDtrVLFhifc4wyoMXLYPgx2tQ2R7JE
Debit: -1500.00 SLG
Transaction fee: -0.01 SLG
Net amount: -1500.01 SLG
Transaction ID: 69dde36db8cfee8f4a2a9d08c64745d03132132f95f7f186a3dc8a94398cd8fc[/quote]

Many thanks,

Spencer Lievens

Sterlingcoin

Logocreator then replies:

Return ?  we got to have clear several things here:

Those 1500 slg is far less then i deserved for hours of work and rendering several times in Adobe photoshop and Adobe Ilustrator.

Now i made total remake of the image from scratch, because of unsatisfied individuals on the forum and all that for just 3.84 $
And in the end you are asking those 3.84 $ to be returned ? That is unheard of.

If i didn't done that image, you know well that nobody will.

My price for one logo is 0.1 btc but in your case i took the job just cos i am fun of SterlingCoin.

I then replied to him:

1500 was the agreed amount from the start.

We have not hired you for your photoshop skills.

Return the Sterlingcoin.

Also I am very capable of doing what you have done using skew etc. and effects in Photoshop. The competition was setup for some fun.

BTW I am asking you return the 1000SLG I have just sent to you, not the 1500SLG Steven sent to you in the first place  Wink

I received no reply.

My transaction to Logocreator:

Status: 1335 confirmations
Date: 17/12/2014 21:31
To: SavvUDtrVLFhifc4wyoMXLYPgx2tQ2R7JE
Debit: -1000.00 SLG

Transaction ID: 01e0e3d9262ff43826148e7dc2acc774502e2f314cc4e6581c3e78c3148e3e09

I want people to be clear that I am unsure whether logo creator realises he has been overpaid the 1000 because in his message he states about the 1500 only. I also want people to be clear I am not calling him a thief or a scammer. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, however, I am calling him out.

Probably. I think this may be the case. Like I said I don't want to call him a thief or a scammer, but he has been overpaid, messaged 3 times after his last message and not replied. So this is now my only option.

I would just let him keep the extra 1000 slg, just so things don't get heated. I will give you 500 slg of the 1000 slg that you overpaid him. Just give me the addy. cheers

Many thanks for the gesture Tubesteak but I would rather replenish them myself and take the loss than take coins from the community. Thank you again for your very kind offer.

Its not about leting him keeping it. If he dont give it back by free will then its hard to get it back.

If he is honest then he should give it back.
