Bitcoin is diving. Its down to 340 USD on BTCe. Most SLG are bought with bitcoins so Im thinking what can that do to the price of SLG. Maybe less trading or more trading? Price go up or down? Interesting  situation.  Cool Maybe some people want to use SLG instead of bitcoins? Time will tell.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Another late night for the team:

Matthew is still hard at work on the API and Explorer. These are by far the hardest jobs happening right now as both have been written from scratch in PHP. Even though some people may think that the explorer is just ABE and that we have just styled it differently, it isn't.

Steven is getting the faucet ready for the 20th of October so that everyone can get free Sterlingcoin every hour. He is also continuing to tweak paperwallet.sterlingcoin.org.uk for mobile devices. We will warn you now, the amounts from the 'Faucet' will be a fraction of what you saw from the 'Spacedrop' i.e. decimals of an SLG.

Spencer has added the 'Bittrex Live Feed' and also now a 'Block Explorer' within the wallet. Also he has fixed the styling of signverifymessagedialog.ui, coincontroldialog.uk, optionsdialog.ui and tweaked rpcconsole.ui so that the entry field is easier to read.

The current wallet has Russian (ru) and the new wallet will also have Russian as a language option.

I missed the action at 4,5k because it takes more than 2 hours to transfer Bitcoins to Cryptsy or Bittrex. Sterling coin has huge advantage in this field as it took only 15 minutes for my SLGs to appear on Cryptsy.

Hello all,

In case anyone is interested in my wallet work so far. Here are the commits leading up to version 1.1 being released.

https://bitbucket.org/Sterlingcoin/sterlingcoin-linux-source/commits/all

If you download the linux source prior to the commit called "Version 1.1" then consider it beta. It will function fully, however it won't be final.

Many thanks,

Spencer.

Doesn't look like your family and friends will be receiving many coins! Seems the larger volume sells have tailed off. We may start to see a slight price increase. Im holding/Staking now. Still don't understand why this coin is unpopular on the exchanges, when other coins are all hype and broken promises by anonymous people.

Through time there will be people much like yourself who are sick of anonymous developers and no one to turn to when the milk turns out to be sour.

I think if you have more then 5000 of these coins you are doing exceptionally well. I won't be greedy it's best more people get coins but I am also not stupid and I just saw 5000 sat as a giveaway price.
Managed to get 1500 coins at that price. Smiley

Anyone having issues with the official Sterlingcoin hash pool? Just had 2 of my workers drop to not connected. Seems like others had the same issue as the total connected workers has dropped to 32 and our pool hash rate has dropped by over half.

Well done on getting at these prices, I have just over 11000 which I will keep for spending, no way these coins will see an exchange.
The ANN is a bit misleading, I think people see price and then see 63.9 million coins in total and think arghhh price too risky. When in actual fact the total coins with POW ends will be close to 4 million. Wink

So yes if you have 3k-6k you will be very happy in a years time if the dev rate keeps up. Our grandkids will be dead and the total supply will still be under 63.9 million.
