Also after building the Lite Edition for Windows I will have to remove the Twitter Feed from the Lite Source as it uses QTWebKit which has a known QTBUG in Windows which does not allow for building a static .exe without lose .dll files which directly opposes a Lite Edition.

Mac and Linux versions released already are absolutely fine and the Windows versions will use the new secure Lite source.

If you are using the full release please make sure to have zone alarm/comodo, peerblock, anti-virus and anti-malware installed if on Windows. We recommend running a Virtual Machine on Windows that runs Linux and to have the Linux version of the wallet installed there. Password the Linux OS on the Virtual Machine and password the startup of the virtual machine, nice bit of added security.

EDIT: Lite Edition source updated on both GitHub and Bitbucket.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I want to point something out that has been bothering me slightly recently.  This goes for all coins and not just Sterlingcoin.  Many people are unaware of the actual people who develop crypto currencies.  It seems it comes down to that for each coin there is only one developer.  This is not the case with all coins.  There is a TEAM that works together to bring you the features you want and see in their product. Not just one person.  The reason I am bringing this up is because of a POH voting award I noticed recently.  The vote was for a individual only. Now most of these coins have a team of developers not just one.  Now you may ask why is this important?  For example, this is important to me because recognition gets my name out there in the community. Which in turn also may bring freelance work for me.  Also some people may not see it this way, but the work that I or other Devs do is actually part of our portfolio.  If my name is not on the work along with my team mates then who is to say that I was a part of that project?  Thank you all for reading and let me know what your take is on this.

I fully agree, the vote should have been for the coin with all devs  names attached. It seems the community has the impression that spencer is the leader. The company I work for gets all sorts of awards but ive never seen any employees get any cradit. not saying its right but thats how life is sometimes. Just keep up the good work and im sure all slg devs will be  given the credit they deserve eventually.

Herewith a quick update in regards to the Sterlingcoin Premier Edition Crypto Cards.

See: https://www.startjoin.com/slg_cc

We are currently running about a week behind on production following an unforeseen delay with the dispatch of some of the materials ordered for producing the cards. However, we should have some screen shots of the cards uploaded within the next couple of days or so with express dispatch to all customers commencing early next week. Orders for our international customers will be dispatched first and all orders will be tracked and signed for with a shipping reference no.

Thank you.

Curious to what you would recommend for Anti-Virus? I have all the others, looking to tightened up some more.

I personally use Avira and as free anti-virus goes I have no complaints.

Hi there!

New member of the gang just saying hello.  Cheesy

I first saw SLG mentioned in an online magazine article a few weeks ago (can't remember which) and I liked the look of it straight away.

Too late for the space drop (never mind) but I couldn't resist buying a few, to test the water, so to speak.

Price has weakened a bit since then, but who cares?  It's pure quality, that's what counts, so it'll bounce back soon enough.

I am very impressed with the progress the dev team has made so far (I have just downloaded wallet 1.3, looking good!), and I am waiting with great anticipation to see what comes out of their efforts over the next few months.

I am just absolutely convinced this one's a winner!!

Good to hear that you like the new wallet and the work done so far by the development team.

Sorry to hear that you missed out on the Spacedrop but at least the Sterlingcoin Faucet is open and you can enter there every hour for free SLG.

In terms of price it has lulled a little but our work continues, votes get won and merchants will be gained, followed by a bounce back. We are also 65% of our way through the PoW/PoS phase and 100% PoS will be upon us before we know it.

As a development team we do listen to the community and any suggestions or needs are always considered.

I would just like to say that I am extremely impressed with the job that the development team have done so far with Sterlingcoin.  You deserve a huge amount of credit for what you have managed to achieved up to now in this epic journey and I don't thing you get the credit you deserve.  The technology is rock solid and everything just works. I downloaded version 1.3 for windows and it installed without a hitch. All coins should be like that. You should be very proud of what you have achieved and long may it continue. Keep up the good work!!  I will continue to invest in Sterlingcoin on a regular basis as I truly believe in what you are trying to achieve.

The price of SLG is stabilize at 1050-1200 for almost a week.
You can see more and more buy orders at Bittrex and Cryptsy.
All looks good now and more investors are pickup SLG. SLG can now go up, the price for a SLG is just too low for a coin with so much potential and a great team of devs!

Yes this is effectively a glorified paper wallet. The difference being that they come pre-loaded with 50SLG and are limited edition. PrivKey is covered by a sticker on the back.
