Hi gawlea The team is working quietly in the background to deliver some significant developments with Ultracoin. With the setback of Java.dev not delivering on the new Lite wallets we have gone back to the drawing board and are in early discussions with a new dev who may deliver some very positive opportunities for Ultracoin. At present - we cannot release any detail - but rest assured we will announce plans as we are able so the community can discuss. Cheers - usukan

Hi everyone,
I have one question, how much time does it takes to a coin to mature to start staking?
And anyone else mining with polaris cards? After some time I could get the my little 480 to work but didn't manage to extract alot from it, 4.6kh/s with -30% power limit, but if I try to increase intensity it gives me hw errors, is it a miner compatibility issue?
Usukan, good luck with the new dev and thank you!
also, Thanks Alenevaa, the pool is great!

Hi rpbarreto From my experience it seems to take at least a week and more like 2 weeks before your coins are mature and likely to have the weight to be competitive in staking. If you have only a few - it will take months (like 10-50k). If you have 100 - 200k plus - yes 1-2 weeks. Just for info - the new dev is a medium/long term plan. The plan is far more than a new dev - its more of a transformation of UltraCoin into something well beyond ETH. Really - I joke you not! We need to wait for other tech under development to be released before we can really move or announce anything. Sorry about that but thats the situation. So if you are patient and willing to hold on for maybe up to 6 to 12 months - you will need leather gloves to hold on. Thats my plan. Lets see how it goes. Cheers - usukan

Cheers - usukan This is a huge announcement usukan! I'll hold my coins, thanks for the update! Hi kiddo Its not really an announcement but I want to let you know that things are happening in the background for the future of Ultracoin. We have revived the coin from near death and played with a few small ideas to make UltraCoin more relevant. These things don't really have what it takes to get UTC in the top 10 again. We have to get "ahead of the pack" on technology, utility, relevance and future applications of the ideas that crypto has pioneered. Thats the only way that UltraCoin will survive in the sea of alts and the BTC world. Our current plan is far more grand than a few new wallets and tweaks - but it will take time and we rely on others developing some groundbreaking technology in the space. Then we rely on them to come on board with UltraCoin and integrate things as UltraCoin developers. Things could go wrong, get delayed or progress may be suspended. Nevertheless thats the path we are on at present and rest assured I will make an "announcement" one way or another just as soon as I can. Cheers - usukan

Well then, this is good news that the team is working hard on the background. UltraCoin have a lot of potential and if the developement of this project will continue UTC will go to the moon. I'll keep my coins for the long run, I'm here to stay. Cheers!

Hi Patrik7 Sometimes it just takes a while to pick up connections - leave it running for a few hours and you should pick up 5-8 connections at least. Check PressTabs site. http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/UTC/index.phpIf there is a GREEN "Online" box at top right of the page then this is probably the first connection that you will pick up - that node then gives your wallet the other addresses of connections available. If that don't work - check that you are not running/connecting via a VPN (that does not allow P2P connections) or that your AV program is not blocking connections from the wallet. If all that checks out OK - but still no connections, get back and I can perhaps give you a list of recent peers to add to a .conf file. These are the 8 peers I connect to just at present "addr" : "74.118.192.18:44100", "addr" : "98.212.26.140:44100", "addr" : "72.95.9.59:44100", "addr" : "41.50.96.101:44100", "addr" : "73.111.0.81:44100", "addr" : "173.19.116.188:44100", "addr" : "109.149.217.152:44100", "addr" : "109.189.145.253:44100", Cheers - usukan

Hi @bek77! Your .conf file should look like this: addnode=142.161.64.213:44100 addnode=74.118.192.18:44100 addnode=41.50.96.101:44100 addnode=68.192.71.236:44100 addnode=90.209.192.3:44100 addnode=98.212.26.140:44100 If you need assistance to create your .conf file, let me know. Best regards, kiddo!

I'm interested to see what usukan has in store for UltraCoin. But if it's just an idea without any 'meat,' it is pointless to post about it. It's good to see a coin at least wanting to compete with the top coins instead of being "yet another altcoin"

My wallet was just fine and running, well until yesterday that i had a MinGW Runtime Assertion Error or something like that. i've reinstalled and now is catching up, seems fine so far.

Hi Presstab, thanks for checking in on us, hope all is well! Must say the wallet works pretty smooth since the update as well as the difficulty. Only bug we noticed is that sometimes when staking you will get 0.0 utc greyed in transactions even though you actually get stakes, and the problem is solved by restarting the wallet. I usually gets the bug after clearing orphans after some time.
