Restart whole computer. Valpe Usukan could you please upload some recent blockchain files? (maybe on google drive) i found a blockchain on cryptochainer but it's from 11.03.2016 and it's taking ages to sync  I can upload a Blockchain Bootstrap from today, but it will take a while to zip it and upload it to mega. It have 1.13 GB (zipped) in size. Will return in here with the link. Cheers! EDIT: https://mega.nz/#!FDZ3SCQC!-7HE0NfXxtkx2HqnMBJYMSHr_MCExeh8jNB4VEHJaa0Great!! thanks a lot  EDIT: um... there's a problem with the wallet, rescan doesn't seem to be working, i have the 1.0.0.0 wallet.I tried both methods, replacing the wallet.dat and trying to import a privkey in debug console.Every time i try that, it doesn't do anything, i left it open for 30min, 1 hour, 2hours, and the wallet just seems to stay stuck. If i delete the wallet.dat and let the client create a new wallet it works, but i still can't import the privkey, as it stalls  |

Still doesn't work, this is what happens when i start the wallet -"Loading block index..." 2-3min -"Loading wallet..." -"Rescanning" - and then it gets stuck, i've tried this many times, 30min, 1hour even 2 hours and nothing. I can only hope there's gonna be be a lite-wallet/electrum someday |

This problem occur after you downloaded blockchain bootstrap from Gawlea? Valpe Restart whole computer.
Still doesn't work, this is what happens when i start the wallet -"Loading block index..." 2-3min -"Loading wallet..." -"Rescanning" - and then it gets stuck, i've tried this many times, 30min, 1hour even 2 hours and nothing. I can only hope there's gonna be be a lite-wallet/electrum someday |

So, it took a few hours to rescan then it worked? i tried to restart the wallet several times, so i'm just gonna let it a few hours on rescan to see what happens. Wallet works fine, so there isn't any problem with that, for example, i deleted the appdata/roaming file, i put the wallet file in the empty folder, and when it started to sync from scratch, the client opened without problems. |

Many wallets have this issue, I had it with mooncoin, got stucked for hours but restarted wallet few times and the coins was there (the rescan worked).
So, it took a few hours to rescan then it worked? i tried to restart the wallet several times, so i'm just gonna let it a few hours on rescan to see what happens. Are you running windows? If so on windows create a shortcut or the wallet executable and on the target field of the sortcut's properties add to the end "-rescan" and run the shortcut. Or add "rescan=1" to your .conf file located in %appdata%/UltraCoin. Looking forward to masternodes implementation.
We all do! Would be a great feature the masternode system. Also I'm looking for a Light Weight wallet in the future. |

I think there could be a problem with my HDD, it has seen more than 5 years of "action" and sometimes it makes crrrr buzzing sounds  |

Let wallet running and comeback day or two or maybe three  . Wallet working, its freezing some times. Normal behavior for that wallet. I have noticed that if you have powerful computer almost none freezing. http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/UTC/nodes.php , there you can find nodes list. Node list should found on this forum also. Its take time. You could try this bootstrap, its not official. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727023.msg22640416#msg22640416Give wallet time to run. After the blockchain is ready, wallet works well. Valpe Wallet keeps freezing (not responding) any idea what would cause this?

The wallet freezes from time to time because is downloading the blockchain and this thing happens with many wallets, especially this is affected by the disk read/write function (that time when the information is written on your HDD). Some times this is happening when a low end CPU is used at it's 100%. |

Coin is old, alot of blocks to download, maybe trying to connect to more nodes could help you sync. Another "fix" could be the use of a bootstrap, there is a old one that already helps on the first page and another one that gawlea uploaded to mega: Usukan could you please upload some recent blockchain files? Please just be patient my fellow Ultracoiners.
Behind the scenes a total revamp of Ultracoin is being planned and engineered across Devs in Europe and Asia.
We will likely propose at some time in the future to hardfork Ultracoin to a completely new platform.
As I have mentioned before - its radical and its more advanced than everything else around including Ethereum and the other blockchain coins.
All the issues we have at present will vapourise in the mist. But expect some new challenges in the new world!
For now - be patient and sync from scratch - it may take 4-7 days.
Masternodes, sharding, light wallets, Casper, Bitcoin NT etc etc etc will be old tech.
In a tiny corner of the Crypto planet - something big and rather unexpected is happening. You just might have been in the right place at the right time with Ultracoin.
Work is ongoing and we will make an announcement just ASAP - but be patient please.
If you choose not to take the risk - I can't help you.
Yes it seems unbelievable - but make your own choices based on your risk tolerance.
There are no guarantees - but this looks like the big one to me.
