Do we need to regenerate a new plot file with new pocminer_pool?

Alright, pool is now finally up. Disclaimer, this has hardly been tested, so there could be bugs.

pocminer_pool: https://mega.co.nz/#!7hwHQJLZ!-waC7CwWeMStkdAwjEVbew1fN_YqeZDRWMWfCylaNPo
(I know I shouldn't have made a separate miner, but it needs an overhaul anyway, so that'll be coming at a later time)

pocminer_pool does both solo and pool mining. plot files that have a corresponding passphrase in the passphrases.txt file are solomined if you have your wallet running, and plot files without a passphrase are assumed to be for the pool

edit the pool ip into the mine.bat file.

go to the pool at http://198.199.103.145:8121/
put your payout address(BURST- address) into the textbox, and submit it to get a generate address
generate your plots for that
target deadline is currently set to 20000, so you'll get a pool share for every deadline under 20k your miner finds.
When the pool finds a block, the reward is given out proportionally to the number of shares each person submitted since the last found block
payout should be instant when a block is found, since there is no block maturing time.

If anyone wants to host their own, code is on github, and you need the lastest client from github also.
Yes, to use this type of pool you need to generate plots for the address it gives you. Personally, I'd keep on solo mining with existing plots rather than replace them if you're still getting something occasionally.
I'll throw 200 GB at it just to help test it

i dont think pool is working.
I see that i have 1 share but no payout.
In description it is written that payout are instant.
because now little people are on it, and the pool did not found a block, how can it pay out to you ..

I create new plots for the pool and solomining with the olds.

Are we supposed to extract the pool miner into the solo miner directory? because the run generate generates the new plots into its /plot folder and not in the pool /plots folder?

hi , can you design an icon that represent this coin, i mean, let it looks like a coin..i have suggested before, Burst can use your shape of "B", refer to Blackcoin's "B" coin icon, your shape is different from it, don't need to worry about the mix up, Dogo and darkcoin both have D, and Vrc, via, both have V,  Grin

I'm in the process of designing one now. I'll have something ready by tonight.

Quick question everyone

We are currently on block 3161, however the "Total Balance" when you click on NRS Version in the wallet shows 15 576 956. Does this mean that the total current supply is just over 15.5 Million? According to the block reward the total current supply should be just over 31.5 Million, which is the correct value for the total current supply?

Bumping this to the new page.

Can anyone answer this question?

I suspect transfers are stored as blocks.

Look for example. the last 10 blocks to.

3193 20.08.2014 14:36:48 20'000 + 26 7
3192 20.08.2014 14:31:45 0 + 3 3
3191 20.08.2014 14:30:57 0 + 17 17
3190 20.08.2014 14:26:05 0 + 6 6
3189 20.08.2014 14:25:01 29'990 + 42 33
3188 20.08.2014 14:17:07 0 + 25 25

may be what shows in the  nrs version in the wallet only represent the coins that are confirmed? and unconfirmed are not in the total balance,, more than half of coins in my wallet is unconfirmed, and the scale seems like,, I just guess it ,  don't believe me;D

what is if someone with bigger storage capacity go mining burst?

Quote
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center

"An article by Forbes estimates the storage capacity as between 3 and 12 exabytes"

1Exabyte = 1million Terabytes.

What if they [NSA] would troll us with mining burst?^^

No valid shares to submit to pool

yeah the limitation of the pool is very high...
You can see it at the pool's statistics http://198.199.103.145:8121/shares

Your must start a new plot in a new Miner folder, and start on this last nouance from the canceled plot.
Copy the miner folder without the plot folder, create a plot folder and change the run_generate settings.

1,330,642,944 / 256 = 5197824

4204803 + 5197824 = Start position.

7404803 - 5197824 = Plot size

Did anyone tried pool version miner?
This is my output.
If yes, can someone post their output?

Thanks!

Output:
