it's sound good?
I start 1 hrs ago generate...
Yes, that's set up properly. The shares are very difficult to find however, just be patient, you'll submit one eventually. How large of a plot do you have pointed at the pool?
24 Gb ready, now i generate 1.6Tb plots

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I want buy some burst coin

- why don't you buy (or put buy orders) at Asset Exchange through BURST Gateway ?

Burst

For those, who want to trade BURST, I've created the BURST Gateway at the Nxt decentralized (= trustless) Asset Exchange (AE):

BURST Gateway address: BURST-MCHC-LBKK-ZLZY-C3XL5

Asset Name: 1000BURST

Asset ID: 251006016744564741

Each one asset represents 1000 BURST coins.

You can check 1000BURST trading volumes here or here or here!

To buy some BURST coins (1000BURST assets) just click on one of public Nxt nodes:
    http://217.17.88.5:7876/          http://109.230.224.65:7876/
     http://vps4.nxtcrypto.org:7876/  http://vps8.nxtcrypto.org:7876/   http://nxt.ravensbloodrealms.com:7876/
     https://miasik.no-ip.org:7876/    https://162.243.145.83:7876/

and enter 251006016744564741 (1000BURST asset ID) at "Asset
Exchange".

Wow! There are lot of buy and the price is going up!! Nice job! And all of you, don't sell low!!

How to generate plot files for pool mining?

http://198.199.103.145:8121/
Usage:
Paste your BURST- address into the box at the top to receive a generate address.
Generate plots for that address, and use pocminer_pool to mine with them
windows: java -cp pocminer_pool.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine http://127.0.0.1:8125 http://198.199.103.145:8121
linux: java -cp pocminer_pool.jar:lib/*:lib/akka/*:lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine http://127.0.0.1:8125 http://198.199.103.145:8121
Local wallet does not have to be running, but if it is pocminer_pool will solo mine with plots it has passphrases for

What is the minimum amount of plots(GBs) to get share in that pool?

Kinda pointless to set the local wallet imho since the address isnt there anyway so you got no valid plots - doing both at the same time doesnt really make sense either, I would just wipe the plots on one hdd and make new ones for the pool, repeat for every hdd one by one.

Where i put the address generate by the pool?

They wouldn't do this because then all of their space would be useless for storing data.

Hmm, but are they not only storing useless data?
Ok, sry.. to ask this question _you_ is not smooth :/

Do you think, that they are really using every moment 100% of their capacity?

It can also be some russian frauders in a datacenter (like wahome) that have capacitys to exploit whatever they want... i am wondering how long it will take until the drk' masternodes get hacked, not one.. surely 50 or 100 nodes at the same time.

frauders/scammers are everywhere Sad

Btw... 2,158,812,800 why so many coins? this is ~200millions * 10, right? or have i rode false?

thx for answering!

It IS too much effort, because I Copy and Paste other things, then once I am on the wallet localhost site, I then have to minimize the screen, open up the document with my passphrase in it, copy it, close it, reopen the wallet localhost, and paste it in.

That is asking too much of me.
- you can type in your own password, only make sure you use symbols. Like: 5`22_T1mK_22'5

Oh no.  Having to move the mouse and click to minimize, copy, and paste is bad enough, but now you want me to move the other hand also to hit the SHIFT key?!?!?!?!?  Are you insane? Shocked

Fix the damn 1.0.2 wallet so I don't have to copy and paste in my 12 word code every time.  It is too much effort.

I want it to remember my login.

Right now, there are only full blocks found by miners, no partials as in a pool?

I've been mining for a day and a half now, have found no blocks from my 20 GB hard drive allocation.

From my open wallet file, the last line reads  2014-08-18 17:46:57 INFO: nxt.apiServerEnforcePOST = "true" .

Is this right?  Am I properly mining?

i do not have good news for you, with 20 GB you will get 1 block every 70 days on average

Well I am on vacation right now, and 20 GB is all the free space I have on my laptop.  When I get home I can make bigger files on other computers.

LOL... this is just too funny... "I can't be asked to copy and paste, that's INSANE!" hilarious. lol.

90GB plots in the pool and don't have a share. It seems that the pool is again for BURST whales Angry

500GB is not enough for solo-mining. 90GB is not enough for pool. Something is going wrong with that coin, it's the first week and it's imposible to mine it with normal PC.

Time for an observation on this coin and mining method, I'd like your input.

After a few days of reading on it, it seems that the only real mining equipment needed is some multi-TB hard drives, otherwise any old computer can eventually make the plot files and be good enough to mine on.

But therein lies a problem.  Cost of entry is low.  It won't be long before someone with huge storage capacity jacks the difficulty into the stratosphere.

You've seen what happened when ASICs came out for Bitcoin, and then for Scrypt coins.  Difficulty went sky high, everyone got less, and it takes a ton of money to even be a low level player.

So how long will it be before 100 TB worth of hard drives gets you one block per week?  Of an unknown, untested, unproven alt coin that could price crash at any time?

At least with BTC ASICs, their high price slowed the addition of them a bit.  Any jackhole here can call up Tiger Direct and order 100 4 TB drives at any time, and then we could see a run on large hard drives like what happened with GPUs last winter.

So part of me wants to get in on it, and part of me wants to say the hell with it, it's not worth the effort to be playing catch up and adding TBs of storage every few weeks.

And hard drives do not have good resale value.

And we are all solo mining now!  How long before Petabyte pools start on this coin?

What say you?

most people are waiting the next improved pool Grin they don't want to wasted their generated plots, and if pool have not enough capacity, and can't get block from the solo miners, then you will get nothing too Grin

so stupid question... if there will not be big storage owners in the future, that will be the problem we should worried about,,,price flows with the difficulty, do you think with out asic, and every one can mine bitcoin with cpu or gpu easily, btc coin's price will grow up to much? with the increased cost for mining coins, the price of the coin will grow, and every one can get the coin easily, it will not worth much

that is what i have tryed so say with the utah datacenter.. if someone have access (for exemple to a datacenter) to huge capacitys and wanna do this, he will crash just for fun <_<

You will need at last 2 Terabytes of Harddrive space it is because the hardware is to cheap.

2TB per week, may be. But i can't play vs peolpe, which work in website hosting companies or datacenters. They use their mining hardware with no invest. The pool had to be THE BALANCE. Now it's useless in that form.

......are you serious? people in the company won't use these resource, because mining is p2p, company will monitor the flow always time.,  if you worried about this, every one just not mine any coin,, why don't you worry about miners who work in AMD or nvidia if you mine gpu based?, why don't worried about miners who worked in cloud computer companies like azure when you mine the cpu based,,..  according to your say, every one in these company can use endless resources for free..

How did you determine that a 20 GB plot file = 70 days per block at the current difficulty?  Is there a chart somewhere that shows it?

Time for an observation on this coin and mining method, I'd like your input.

After a few days of reading on it, it seems that the only real mining equipment needed is some multi-TB hard drives, otherwise any old computer can eventually make the plot files and be good enough to mine on.
....
So part of me wants to get in on it, and part of me wants to say the hell with it, it's not worth the effort to be playing catch up and adding TBs of storage every few weeks.
...
And we are all solo mining now!  How long before Petabyte pools start on this coin?

What say you?

+1

that is what i have tryed so say with the utah datacenter.. if someone have access (for exemple to a datacenter) to huge capacitys and wanna do this, he will crash just for fun <_<

You overlook something. Storage capacity is cheap but who generated the plots for 1 PB. Computing capacity is not cheap and no one have 10, 20 or 50 free server in a data center.

I have tested many options and the best option is a dedicatet physikal Server. VMs require a long time 100% CPU usage also affects other VMs.
One Server with 16 core generated approximately 1TB in one day.
