I found a solution. Adding "posii=1" in my config file activate the PoS. Look like a bug because PoS should be the default, but this is the CLI wallet only, no QT. Maybe a side effect.

The default is PoS enabled if we don't set any flag for "posii" in the conf file. I guess it is the time for your coins getting stakes. I am looking at more accurate predication of the stake time and get an API to check the stake status.

If "posii=1" needs to be enforced in order to get stake, that might frustrate exchanges to stake, but they will be able to find out this fact if they want.

I'd like to introduce Stake my Bit. It's a PoS multipool where you can transfer your coins and the pool with all the collected coins generates PoS blocks. Magi has just been added as new coin.

But always keep in mind, this is a 3rd party service operated by someone not part of the Magi team. There's always a risk when sending funds to a place out of your control, so I recommend to test this pool with a lower amount at first.

There was a hardfork happened in testnet (only TESTNET by far) which is for stabilizing the PoW rewards in order to make magi rewarding system functional properly. A few API calls were added including a mining calculator: getminingbykhps, getnewblockvalue on the basis of the new rewarding system.

Please check back this thread for the coming update (would be soon).

So I found a total of 62 coins? But I only got about 14 coins by joining the pool. Is it worth to try solo mining? My hashrate is only ~40k/s in total.

Also, my wallet had balance about 15 coins but no stake. Should I keep the wallet open to get the stake? I am not quite understanding the POS. Thanks.

Got the stratum working; I've tried it in the testnet running stratum and found blocks; while I barely see the right status in the front end, probably missing something in MPOS settings. The testnet wallet balance is just keeping going when I am typing.

Install magi-hash first: https://github.com/magi-project/magi-hash; Simply do

which installs magi_hash.so; then you have to use

with algo set to 'magi'

Option: using same settings as if setting up a scrypt coin, but install ltc_scrypt instead of magi_hash
