As our community continues to grow (Slackchat now up to 117 users) more and more people are starting to see what this project has to offer. An amazing core dev team backed up by a team of even more amazing Devs. We have alot of great designers and minds in this team and its really starting to show with all the ideas flowing on slackchat. So as a little update for those who don’t hang around in slackchat (or do hangout in there but dont check out the #pricespeculation channel) A community member by the handle Vaclarush is " I'm about a week away from completing a shadow binary options site, this is the basic layout"



For those of you that dont know what binary options are.. Its a very powerful leverage trading tool. Basically its a prediction market for a  trader to make money by betting the market will go up or down in a set time frame. This is just awesome! Those that dont have alot of btc to spare to buy shadow but think they are good traders can now use the SDC binary options to make more money(SDC) either way the market is going! I dont know about the rest of the SDC community but man Im excited for something like this. I alos believe this may help funnel in some new traders into our Marketcap. Vaclarush had this to say about it all in slack "I'm honored to be hopefully be the first to create a shadow binary options site......when the sdk comes out I will definitely integrate it into the wallet" So a big thanks to our community member Vaclarush!! Keep up the good work . I asked him if he had an address to donate to and when asked he had this to say, "I don't but the best way to donate is to play around on the site when it's up.....The layout will be uploaded to shadowoptions.com ." I for one cant wait for this.. and it goes to show how awesome this community is and how many ideas and brain power are floating around in The ShadowProject.

Also we got mentioned on another Hacker website http://www.hacker10.com/internet-anonymity/anonymous-online-payments-with-shadow-cash/  Seems like Shadow is starting to get noticed and turn some peoples heads! Lets keep it up Shadow. Enjoy the weekend all.

Umm thats just a bootstrap template lol it will take him atleast 2 months to do a proper binary options site if thats what he have.. So i dont know if he just making it up or that screen is old

Hey all
We've been quite busy over the past 2 weeks, working on the PoSv2 merge + SHA-256 enhancements.
The PoS v2 merge is going well, and we should soon be upstream from BlackCoin once again.
Once we're ready, we will start getting everyone ready for the hard fork to PoS v2.

We're having a few issues with the Android wallet, but I'm trying my best to get those sorted.
Hopefully if all goes well, next week we will be able to announce a release date for the latest changes and android wallet.
The new android wallet will have the HTML5 interface, as well as the ability to switch between a full node and a lite node.

From here onwards we'll be doing major enhancements to the secure/encrypted messaging, which is required for the marketplace.

We thank you again for our amazing community, and all the effort that is going into this project from all around the world.

Which means a date for the fork should be announced next week, soon Shadow wallet should work more better

It is most probably the best anon in crypto today. (why mince my words? it is the best)
perhaps after the next hard fork we will be.

this project is ambitious and gaining momentum rapidly. if the market is running smoothly (later in the year) and has growing adoption numbers then that'll be huge.

shadowsend v3, which will likely come later this year (pure speculation on my part) would for me (a privacy advocate) be just as big a deal, if not bigger.
shadowchat will be dramatically improved. shadowmarket relies on shadowchat.
voip functionality and file uploads will almost certainly be included at some point in the future
features like i2p torrents on the shadow network would be amazing and are realistically achievable. More developers are coming on-board and talk of api's/sdk's is very exciting; building a platform for other  developers to build apps (that's how i understand  it anyway - pls correct me if wrong)

The promo video (see above) is a powerful encapsulation of this vision. And this Team (and future developers) WILL make it happen.

Therefor in the coming months (by Jan 2016 and assuming continued confidence in BTC) I think $5-$20 a coin is quite possible. I expect $1-$3 much sooner.

oh, and i think the android wallets will blow people's minds. sending shadowsend (anonymous) transactions from a phone will be a game-changer imo. not to mention shadowchat on a phone.

I am glad you can see that; it is something many other people either forget or don't understand.
Shadow is forked off the bitcoin code-base, that means it is compatible pretty much anywhere where bitcoin is and more importantly it has a mature base.

It is only a matter of time before people realize the gem that Shadow is.

Before too long I hope to see many markets, online casinos, charities etc accepting shadow cash for anonymous payments.

We used ring signatures to spend Shadow, which is created by sending SDC as an anonymous output.
Our scheme is quite a bit different, in that we borrow concepts from zerocoin, with the minting and spending, and use ring signatures to make the inputs untraceable from the outputs.. We're also using PoS instead of PoW.
Its a completely unique scheme and implementation
