SDC is a DNM killer.

Hopefully the inner tech will be solid enough and the whole project a true success!

SDC was supposed to be listed for Chinese investors. Do we have any news about this?

SDC Is not a darknet killer at all.. I have invested in SDC  and expect it to reach 4 or 5 dollars maybe more if we are lucky.

There market is not going to be a darknet market, The devs are not even anonymous and if they allowed drugs on there market they are on a one way ticket to life in prison, the main dev is on youtube so anyone who thinks there creating  a dark market really!?

its going to be a little anonymous market with cryptocurrency exchange and a few services for sale.

Then babysit adults wanting a pump down their veins. Its kinda weird hearing a story when u do release a psychobilly album about being suicide, someone listens to it and cuts their wrists, resulting in u being sued and put behind bars for making an "insinuating" music. Its identical to how folks utilize the payment system. Its their own responsibility to whom they transact and what they pay for, and everyone is free to use it at their own discretion.

This TradeSatoshi exchange had absurd $33 per coin price with 5 percent of total volume. So that affected quite much to the price, but later it normalised.

I'd bet it won't be long and SDC will be 10 times that, and keep on rising.  Cool

Does anyone know a suitable policy for SDC cold storage?

For my setup, when I run the latest umbra wallet (1.5.0.2) with the latest copy of the blockchain on a cold storage machine, select new address and specify a name, no new addresses are shown. Though a wallet file has been created in the same directory as the blockchain data is stored in.

Not sure if the wallet runs ok offline.

Right, so I've encountered an issue on both Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.9.5 of Umbra v 1.5.0.2. If you copy the ShadowCoin directory over to a new machine - to avoid having to re-load the entire blockchain - then the wallet client will not recognise the accompanying wallet file until the application has been quit and restarted one or two times.

Is this a bug?

Only reason for the price to move, is the release of a big news. A game changer.

The market release would be one. But I don't believe it is for anytime soon.

Just download the blockchain from the web site. Makes it very quick and easy to move your wallet. Never had any problems, nor have I heard of any bugs.

I'm sure if we knew exactly when the big release was coming the price would already be sky high.

I believe there are many other reasons, but you are correct that the market release will be the big one. Funny how most people will wait until after the release when the price is already skyrocketing. But it always works that way, and doubters become instant believers.

I would bet it will be sooner than you think. Obviously the developers are playing this one close to the vest. You have to consider they are doing something that has never been done before, and want the quality to be consistent with the excellence of previous releases. There will be a ton of other coins trying to copy what they did. Many things to consider. The biggest one is that I believe almost everyone underestimates the long term impact this is going to have.

New release out across all platforms. https://github.com/shadowproject/shadow/releases
V1.5.0.3

If you compile yourself
Code:
git update
then recompile.

First change I noticed was unlocking wallet for messaging now. That's great so wallet stays encrypted now.

Also, it's good practice not to operate private and group chat channels with your main coin wallet. Ie: where all your coins reside.

Well I guess if you leave all the important stuff out, it might make Monero seem better. The fact that SDC is based on Bitcoin is actually a huge advantage, because any features developed and implemented in BTC can optionally be adopted by SDC. Monero is actually missing many important features. The article is intentionally biased, and leaves out most of the important facts that make SDC far superior in many ways.

I think the XMR fans are afraid of what's about to happen.  Grin

Been away for a while. Any reason for the small dip in price? Just BTC climbing?

The slump has been pretty much across the board with a few exceptions (BTC).

It has been my observation that they are usually followed by across the board rallies.

Hopefully the next one will coincide with good news for SDC.
