A bit more stats. Number of transactions per month:

Month       Monero tr. Bitcoin tr.   Share
Sep 2019   159,225   9,798,992   1.62%
Oct 2019    179,114   9,892,853  1.81%
Nov 2019   212,716   9,243,776   2.30%
Dec 2019   216,720   9,430,057   2.30%
Jan 2020   257,942   9,612,337   2.68%
Feb 2020   231,953   9,439,548   2.46%
Mar 2020   303,291   8,904,203   3.41%

You can see that number of transaction keep increasing from September last year. And in general in crypto nothing that important really happened in that time. Crypto seems like in a slight decline as it is seen from number of Bitcoin transactions that declined for 9%. It is the same with most of other coins.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

OK then as promised some chart action.

I have started to learn some stuff about charts so lets see what evolves as I learn more.

Here is the daily candles for XMR - With some resistance and some support zones coloured in yellow.

The daily candle has to close before you can see if a resistance or support is breached.

Here the hourly shows nicely above the support levels (I imported the support levels from the earlier daily candles yellow zones)

He did it again. Just this time he did not just said privacy by default, but he directly named Monero.

It makes very little sense why Monero is not listed on Coinbase.

What if he is afraid that to much transactions would be made from Coinbase. So Coinbase could record those transactions and when USA government would demand the list they would have to give it to them. That list could help unmask other transactions. Maybe that is a reason for a delay and he hopes that number of Monero transactions will grow and he hopes that Monero will increase ring sizes and then he will list Monero, since it will matter much less or none.

I know this is more wishful thinking that everyone cares about Monero well being. But it just crossed my mind when he first mention privacy by default.

I don't get this guy.  He also talks about the advent of "Non custodial wallets".

Like I have been using since 2011.

I like the transaction chart.

Me too, but let's face it, Monero is only recovering now (even compared to Bitcoin) and we are quite far from where it could (should) be (.02BTC-.03BTC, heh..)
Of course, one can hope we'll get there too again.

Like I have been using since 2011.

I think he did not meant the advent but the widespread adoption. The sad fact is among most crypto users,,, many of them are sticking to custodial wallets. Retail users are afraid of losing their passwords, and big investors do not care about owning Bitcoin, just owning an account that says they have invested in bitcoin,,,

Apparently that is just the example transaction for bitpay. I'm accepting Monero if you want to just give me $10 worth of XMR I'll purchase with cc and send you receipt and "ticket".
