I was optimistic that we'd be able to ship with Monero support this Friday (April 8th), but the user-experience needs a lot of improvement. In Exodus, it's imperative that every coin behave like the rest - this means instant notifications of receiving coins, near instant exchanges, etc. We hit some problems with Monero and are working on fixing them so that we can ship with Monero support

Will the Panama Papers have any effect on XMR?

Not unless a lot of people end up going to prison.  Otherwise, I would say no.  I suppose in the long run it may teach people to exercise 100% control over their stores of value, which can be facilitated with some cryptocurrencies.

Currently I am of the opinion that the so called Panama Papers are a gigantic joke.

a crackdown looks likely for tax havens and their ability to hide money. isn't that an opportunity for an anon crypto?

Not unless a lot of people end up going to prison.  Otherwise, I would say no.  I suppose in the long run it may teach people to exercise 100% control over their stores of value, which can be facilitated with some cryptocurrencies.

Yes. People's wealth should be protected. It should not be processed by certain companies. So it is more secure.

Better yet, upload it to Siacoin.    Yeah, Monero is definitely going to be a massive luxury as we go on - the ability to privately store wealth is massively underrated right now.  Perhaps Aeon can continue to focus on speed and pruning once Monero's blockchain becomes too large to make radical changes to it, and we can attempt to make Aeon the 'buy a coffee' currency with.  Many potential solution are possible.

I do not see any reason why XMR could not go there.
Btc failed because of many issues, among other things Gox brought bad publicity, Ross Ulbricht case made people aware of the fact BTC is not actually private. Also several smaller stuff brought btc down...

However, all it takes is a couple rich whales without scarcity mindset (scarcity mindset = "I will limit my holdings only to 3 million Moneros"). Not many such whales cannot swim in the same pool for long time.

Theres no point in holding such ammount, and it would be unhealthy for our ecosystem... if you are interested in have an healthy grow do as I do and try to pay some basic things in monero... People will wounder why and word will spread.. I rather have 1000 individuals holding 1 monero than 1000 moneros holding by 1 individual

I see your point: spending 1 xmr here and there will not hurt the ecosystem.
On the other hand,  personally I would love to see 1000s upon 1000s of people owning 1000 XMR each and seeking ways to increase their balances and also spending some odd amounts in a smart things (like groceries etc) rather than people buying coins and immediately spend them leaving XMR a mere token.
If XMR gets the role of token only it creates downward pressure on the price due to the lack of propensity to hold the coin. The value of the coin is derived the willingness of hold and the greed to get more coins.

That being said, I do not see spending XMR on necessities and holding large amounts (and increasing the stake) as mutually exclusive.

I was reading this book on Hedge fund managers http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007YGGOVM.
What stood out to me was many of the fledgling hedge fund managers were happy & successful returning 500% to their clients and collecting fat fees on top of it.
XMR has already done 3x this year. I was thinking that at maybe 10x its market cap, there will be a whole slew of wall street folks investing OPM on crypto and collecting the same fat fees.
