I turned 1000 into 800 should I roll 200 out at 15 for a bit of 13 later? or stop ruining everything ? What do you think Monero's current value should be? Act on that. IMO, there's no reason we shouldn't be at ETH's or Dash's level(~.02 ). So I'm not making any decisions until we can secure and hold that price. And I'm not likely making any moves at that point anyway - the potential upside is too great.

Hash rate edging 30MH/s
Node count slipped quite a bit, but like the price, WAY higher than a week ago.

I can't post a chart right now, but XMR is looking bullish as hell ATM. We might be looking at another leg up tonight.
So hard not to buy more. Must resist. Wife would kill me. Must resist. I've been there and done it anyway... as long as you can use funds that she doesn't watch you can get away with it for a while. But, sometimes the piper comes to call! Whelp I couldn't resist. I doubled down. Order placed. The wife was just like I don't care if you trade one magic internet money for another... . In my mind I think of bitcoin as much safer but I don't think she does.

Component of my USD-equivalent gains from trading over 2 years: ~1.7x Component from doing absolutely nothing: ~30x If I'd missed even one of the sudden steep rises that constitute that 30x, it would easily wipe out more than the entirety of that 1.7x. Just don't even log in to the exchange.

Actually this is quite relevant as well since it was put originally quite close to the spot (I've followed this). On the other hand, the wall guy or girl is playing games with us. He first sets walls and the bids are increased to around 7 000 btc, then suddenly pulls off 1000 btc from buy orders. I am not quite sure what he is trying to do...
I think whoever it is is trying to make a big buy-in without massive upward slippage. So they put the wall there periodically enticing someone to move coins to the exchange and dump, and remove it to avoid pushing the price up. It's probably a large Bitcoin whale who wants to reallocate/hedge in a big way onto a different chain/project. Someone on the level of Roger Ver, or possibly literallly him (but probably not). But the volume is huge. If you wanted to buy 7,000 BTC worth of Monero, why not just have a bot do it? If you do it correctly you won't get crazy slippage and you can start the next move up. That said, I do hope you are right. One way to look at this scenario, a person with a large ask wall may pull it if a counterparty gives away his/her intention to accumulate with slow nibbles and move their asks higher surmising he/she could fetch a better price, increasing the accumulator's cost another thought, a person employing a trading bot is probably not working with insignificant amounts of capital

Lots of investors here waiting for the big boom on September 1st, when (hopefully) XMR will go live on DNMs. Bad news: https://ghostbin.com/paste/kmnzzIf some TOR node operators follow this call and just the 3 letter agencies nodes are running, it's better not to use TOR on that day. Your anonymity may be lower than in the normal internet. Beware! And don't speculate on sudden XMR demand by DNM customers. At least not for this day

I like to run a tor exit node on the same LAN, and connect to a VPN from that IP, without going through tor, then connect to tor through a VPN in an other country, which I paid for with Monero via XMR.to, and has a canary.
It is also easy to find Netgear routers with exploits and bounce off of a couple of those. It's actually hard to see a downside to that. You can patch the vulnerability for them when you are done, to pay for it, if you like. The main risk is that one might be a honeypot.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a Poisson distribution and he eats at random times independent of one another, at a constant known rate.

Well with all that being said, I need to watch the latest episode of Mr. Robot.

Monero has more credible plot mechanism for destroying the debt-based indenture system IRL than does the fictional Mr. Robot.

ETC Classic and XMR same trend for now.
ive made good profit.
not bagholding anymore.
0.005 to 0.016 is still good on xxxBtc
lets wait and watch. if i have to rebuy later, i will. but for now, bagholding isnt a good thing (imho)
Call me back in 5 years. Tell me of your victories and your defeats, and I will be happy to listen. Just don't ask me for any Monero, when you do. --Contented bag holder. if you bagholded for the amount i had, you would have shorted..

Or even, most people don't care about DNMs. And even then, most people that do care about it do it for a) philosophical reasons and b) that if DNM can be "protected", so can those who seek freedom from suppression.
