If we want to bring Monero to the eyes of the investors with serious money it need to be introduced to them.
Everyone that feels like he want to contribute to this can do so by suggesting Monero to Your local bankers as an asset class in form of a fund.
Bitcoin is introduced as a digital gold bullion but also Monero can fit into the same role (despite the supply of Monero is infinite unlike the supply of gold/bitcoin).

Gold is being mined all the time - it is rare (on earth) but more will be found, or could be extracted.

Bitcoin is finite, yes - unless it forks into two 'Bitcoins' over problems which Monero solves....

Monero solves the problem of miners having no incentive to secure the network once all coins are mined, by having a low 'tail emission' which is minimal, but enough to allow for lost coins and the miner / security problem.

To simply say Monero has infinite supply is a little simplistic - as is suggesting we all go to our local bank branch and suggest a Monero ETF to the teller behind the window.

Please think before you type, if you wish people coming here to see that Monero holders are intelligent and think of their coin positively?

Gold is scarce and has a finite supply, the fact that some of it has not yet being discovered doesn't make gold infinite - it simply means some of gold is hidden from human eyes - in the very same way is bitcoin is limited to 21 million but currently 16.2 million is mined.

Please do not suggest funds to your cashier who most likely has no power to do anything but sell stock mutual funds and open bank accounts.
When they see there is demand for such products they have incentives to do something for it. The worst thing that can happen is they say no.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Aren't you worried it becomes impossible to compete with darkcoin for the 1st place among anonymous coins?

No. D is no competition to Monero. Everybody in here knows that, you as well. Think longterm, be patient, stop trolling. Thanks.

Gold is scarce and has a finite supply.

No it doesn't. Gold mining is a competitive market, and eventually it will be less expensive to mine from space than to mine from the ground. And after that it will become less expensive to simply "create" gold than to mine it at all. Rest assured, the gold supply will never stop expanding.

100 years ago Germans had plan to produce Gold from the Oceans. They did not succeed that much. But that dont mean at some point technology will improve that much that getting gold from the Oceans will  become profitable.

Gold have infinity supply limited by technology.
Monero have infinity supply that is calculated precisely forever.

It is a direct competitor to Monero (pretty much the only relevant one).
The fact that there is a premine is not an argument that it is not a competition... Etherium is not Monero's competitor (at least in direct way).
According to the charts the triangle should be closed in around 2 weeks or so and after it there is time for some major action (up or down - the tea leafs are not telling the direction to me).
Right now it looks like Dark coin has taken a premium against Monero so let's see if we can catch it and go beyond Darkcoin.

Nice speculation... We will see what happens with that. I am slightly sceptic but I might be wrong also.

Monero is a fungible and privacy focused cryptocurrency. DASH is nothing, but a modern Ponzi scheme, based on a BTC-protocol with centralized mixers.

So no, XMR and DASH have no relationship and are not competitors. A DASH competitor is maybe pot coin.  Grin

Usually after each DASH pump we could see DASH going brutally down and XMR getting strong pumped.
I guess it is just some big DASH holders cashing out each time and moving their money from DASH to XMR.

As much as I feel that DASH is a competitor to Monero, XMR seems more focused on privacy where DASH seems to be more of an unspecialized coin (like Litecoin) ever since it changed from Darkcoin to DASH and more focused on mass adoption. As much as XMR users hate DASH and vice versa I hope they both do well and I think they could easily coexist and will cater to different markets.

I'm starting a technology blog T4CH.top, check it out!

The RSI on the hourly got down below 30 (poloniex), and there still wasn't much of a bounce. Im still buying whenever XMR touches $12.00 ish range. I am new to this thread and I am glad I finally found it!!! Feels like a blessing, i have been doing so much research regarding monero in the last couple of weeks.

https://lab.getmonero.org/pubs/MRL-0005.pdf I hope that ring signatures bring us too the moon!

I send an email to local one, not yet answer. I do not hold my breath they will start one because I asked. However, there is such a thing as repetition. The more there are people asking the more likely something is going to happen.

How disappointing.

And here I thought you were serious.

Why send an email when you can visit your local bankers and speak with them directly....even if it is just the branch manager?

Because he he neither understands, nor truly believes in Monero, he is just a speculator who has made some money off it, but is pissed off it's not still appreciating at 2,500% a year.

Besides, if there was anyone worth talking to who was prepared to talk to him, would you really want him representing Monero?

His posts are peppered with 'let's pump' and 'illegal uses / darknet' and 'why are we not doing what D*** is?'
