Not sure if this is allowed here but interested in opinions of others who think coins should be no ico, no premine. There is a community driven Ethereum fork called UBIQ that seems to be doing some good work on the codebase but has no premine and no ICO, just wondered if any of you guys have thoughts on a project like that in general and/or this one specifically?
I heard only a good things about UBIQ and bought some cheap coins. Regarding XMR, well I like to see the market moving down instead of pumping. Lending rates of XMR are ridiculous on Polo. Coinbase issue is even more ridiculous as everyone can track who, when and what amount of XMR bought on Coinbase. EU, USA and China are against any anonymous crypto and that will put to the end or significantly restrict adoption. Community (even very big) is not enough to pump the price hard. |

i agree. It is possible that newbies dump xmr now to join the crazy altcoin pumps ( which all happened to start at the same time, and my guess is they also will dump at the same time) so this gives pressure on xmr right now. When the dumps are going to happen, all this whale money needs to find a new place. xmr would be the logical choice imo. |

Why monero falls Btc falls monero falls Btc turns out monero falls again I'm glad to see a short fall - it a nice chance to stock up on some low buy orders I placed whilst the price was rising - I'm sure the price will rise again soon - I think XMR will end this year on a high. |

In about 8 hours i´ll have a little liquidity. hope XMR is still around 0.017 then. Ill receive a fiat payment with bitcoin... So if Bitcoin is high and monero low...Im in:)

I still see a lots of silly coins with huge volume and huge price rises. I think this is getting just crazier every month. It started like 14 months ago on Poloniex and seems 14 months from now will be just idiotically crazy. I really want to start investing monero since i read those statement that soon monero has a greater potential coin than to other coins i really want to try it right now if you giving me advince what should be it? Tell me and advice me for this.

Well, I always advise to long term invest in Monero. But last month all market went crazy and could have huge corrections, but Monero market went least crazy, so maybe is not that bad choice right now. |

Everything at the bottom end of the alts wilderness got pumped. Volume on Polo went crazy on everything. The top 10 in volume did over 100K BTC in 24 hours, but BTCD and XBC were about a third of it. Some big fish are playing the smaller, low volume alts - just because they can. Polo hosts the Wild West of crypto. |

The BTC Cartel pumps and dumps whatever shit they like just to make quick money out of it and they control almost everything. Better relax and just watch all this craziness. Only Monero is not pumped by the btc mafia because they are utterly afraid of our coin and devs.

It is an interesting observation. One I have also made. It almost seems strange how XMR has typically only participated peripherally in these sorts of situations. I mean when XBT and BTCD are doing 10x in a day something is terribly wrong. Another aspect is XMR is still on the tail end of recovering for the hype that went with the dark market news. But I have a feeling a lot of the money that is cycling through the alts right now is going to make it's way back into BTC and on the way there I would not be surprised if some of it stopped of for a cleansing visit to XMR. Some might even stay. |
