Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

If you are a holder of BNB tokens you get that 50% discount on trading fees.
Looks too late, but who knows. Not too late. Anyone can buy BNB tokens from the market. If you have the checkbox enabled then those BNBs are used to pay your fees at a 50% discount. If you don't want to invest in BNB then just wait until you are ready to trade and then buy approximately as many as you will need to pay your expected trading fee.

XMR is a lovely project with fast transfer & confidentiality. with considering current 5 billion market cap & 356$ per coin ,i think it could reach $ 1,000. Not too far away. Zec is a similar project also

I bought Monero two times:
1. First time around 0.016 with BTC. This was the time as Monero got added to the already closed Darknet Market Alphabay. 2. Second buy was around 75 USD with fiat money some months ago.
I am still holding both positions for long term. BTC will die sooner or later, so you better invest in possible overtakers.

For me top three coin, reason anonymity. Right now it is smart to buy monero as prices are about 2/3 of their recent high and the expectation will be a price target above $500 in the near term. mining is not profitable with high difficulty so buy now.

BTC and Monero are completely different things. They can both survive and complete tasks set out for them in coexistence. Monero being a completely private coin, and Bitcoin being digital gold

Bitcoin ... digital gold
I consider Monero to be more akin to gold than is Bitcoin because Monero has commodity fungibility which Bitcoin lacks. I think a more apt comparison would analogize Bitcoin to equity in ex-im banks, and Monero to cash: Bitcoin's future is dependent largely on it's potential as a settlement network for digital credit, while Monero's is much more closely tied to the gross product growth of the digital economy.

This is pretty much my investment thesis as well, but what about Lightning? Wouldn't that also tie Bitcoin to the digital economy's GPG? Happy Skepticism Sunday!

It is pretty obvious now that Bulletproofs will not happen in March HF. Seems few still live in denial and believe it can happen.
Bulletproofs will need an audit that should take a month of time. There need to be selected people ( more time we have better auditors we can choose) to audit and gathered founds to pay them.
On my opinion the date for code freeze for March HF should be set as soon as possible.

Speaking of skepticism Sunday; LN, if even moderately successful, will render the value of the majority of alt projects dubious at best. How do you see Monero dodging that bullet? nullc said, as he was leaving blockstream, he intended to work on bringing fungibility to BTC. I personally think XMR has a fairly LAPP resistant niche... but I want to hear others opinions.

The XMR still has not realized the big impact I had expected. I think XMR will be worth $ 1000. I think the most affordable projects of the market. It is not an investment recommendation.

This has been said before by McAfee that bitcoin is not a place for them anymore. They have shifted to monero that is more of a privacy coin than bitcoin. Bitcoin's future is dependent largely on it's potential as a settlement network for digital credit, while Monero's is much more closely tied to the gross product growth of the digital economy.
This is pretty much my investment thesis as well, but what about Lightning? Wouldn't that also tie Bitcoin to the digital economy's GPG? Happy Skepticism Sunday! Well wait and see if that will take everything to the top but as long as it's not implemented, we have to wait and guess.

Having read the logs, I think I'm more in the camp of those who think that we should push BP's as soon as they've been reviewed, rather than wait till Sept HF. I'm not sure why we can't have some flexibility when it comes to the timing of HF's especially with something of this magnitude. It also sucks that a Monero rip-off will have them implemented before we do.
