Wasn't there a discussion about part implementation?
Not this time around. It's a shame that a lot of the "big hitters" weren't there - FP, Smooth, Arctic Mine, Moneromooo, or Luigi. Not that the result would necessarily have been any different, but I think it's important to have their public input on the matter. |

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It is pretty obvious now that Bulletproofs will not happen in March HF. Seems few still live in denial and believe it can happen.
Bulletproofs will need an audit that should take a month of time. There need to be selected people ( more time we have better auditors we can choose) to audit and gathered founds to pay them.
On my opinion the date for code freeze for March HF should be set as soon as possible.
Having read the logs, I think I'm more in the camp of those who think that we should push BP's as soon as they've been reviewed, rather than wait till Sept HF. I'm not sure why we can't have some flexibility when it comes to the timing of HF's especially with something of this magnitude. It also sucks that a Monero rip-off will have them implemented before we do. I dont think it will be ready that much ahead. Code freeze should be done in Jully. We will see how much before that all will be done. I dont think that will be measured in months. |

what a crazy month ... i wonder how long it will be like this. again at 300 usd , a few days ago 400 ... i know it all has to do with bitcoin , and that for bitcoin januari is a special month where we see some lows... but it gives me the creeps  . HODL still seems the best solution but men , what we have to go throug last few days. Anybody of the pro's has an opinion on the price for the comming weeks? |

All leading to good for Monero. The emissions falling, famous privacy and security, increasing dark market adoption, upcomming relese map incudes several key features and transaction size reductions, er multi sig, Holding well with BTC pretty much throughout its rise and slight fall back, there is also some adoption here and there with various services and businesses, |

Weird the higher monero goes the louder holders are getting about pushing it higher. I may have to get an andriod phone now, I helped set up an Iphone with the Cake wallet today. Monerujo is just better Granted it has far more development and feedback thus far, and Apple tends to send steam out of my ears on a good day. Cake looks like it has potential though. Pity I didn't fund my Monerujo beyond it's resident dust before I left home, as I want to spend some. That's what I get for being in a rush. Oh well, maybe I'll get more for my moneroj next week  |

How would people rank XMR in terms of development as compared to BTC at the same age? i.e. since XMR is coming up on 4 years, how does it rank compared to BTC when BTC was going onto year 4?

Since XMR was developed as an answer to the failings of BTC, it is not really a fair comparison. BTC broke the trail, XMR paves it. |

Since XMR was developed as an answer to the failings of BTC, it is not really a fair comparison. BTC broke the trail, XMR paves it. Nice way of putting it, I might borrow this if you don't mind. Although I think I will adapt it to 'blazed' rather than 'broke' (the trail). |
