If bitcoin drops to 4000 dollar, xmr will be 100 dollar, unless we break free from btc. I don’t feel so comfortable for 2018. Crypto in general

The whole market is collapsing officially. I guess they expect us to sell everything at our disposal. This market is a very difficult place for small investors or impatient.

On another hand, I've just placed a few dirty low buy orders. Just in case ;-)
Missed my first buy order by 33 cents.. Oh well, maybe there'll be another chance soon. The same here, missed it by $0.7 but anyway, I will try to get some cheap monero so that we can enjoy the possible profit that will come on this summer from monero's market rally. Keep calm for now. Congrats on your purchase ;-)

Just relax, it's only February. Plenty of room to go back up. Why are you stressing? As long as you don't sell, you'll be fine. If you stress too much, then you've invested too much.

A coin that is untraceable will never be adopted by governments or major corporations. Without some sort of trace to the original buyer, banks will never have anything to do with companies who accept anonymous transactions. That is just common sense. I believe Monero is here to stay but its only going to be prioritized by people who don't want to be traced.
I think any company and any person do not want that their balance and all transactions they made are seen by just anyone. Your transactions and your balance should be only seen by those you allow them to see. And if I show you my balance that dont mean I will show you also all my transactions. And if I show you one of my transactions that dont means I will also show you other transactions or my balance. Soon with much more useful block chain analysis, everyone you will pay with Bitcoin will in 1 second know who you trade with and what balance you have. Dont you think that might be not so useful for companies? Dont you think that might be really dangerous for you go on a vacations in some far away foreign land?

Everything I invested ( average buy on all my coins is 4 dollar I guess ) I already took back from profit. I’m not really stressed but just a bit scared that it will never recover. When xmr would be 800 I would sell another chunk. That would change my life a bit to the better. But now that the marked is crashing I don’t know what to think. Everybody here stays so calm, I know we had dips in the past, but this time it’s on a bigger scale I guess. Don’t know if we will see much new money this year in crypto

If we see sub 100 (i.e. 63-95usd) I think 2018 is a write off. That said I'm still bullish long term (2019+)

I am still a big supporter of Monero and this project will be one of the coins that I hold for my whole life. It is one of the greatest long term invests because everyone wanna have Ecryption after we gone mainstream!

Are you kidding? Monero is a alphabet soup black budget ops dream. Also a corrupt politician's dream. Also an oligarch's tax haven dream. It will find massive widespread adoption at various levels in the state and its connected cronies. Right now politicians and state actors push around budgets in the trillions, engage in massive corruption with said funds, only to reaping rewards in the single or double digit millions. That's an effective capture rate of as low as 0.001% in some cases. These people are going to be able to use monero and technologies like it to capture a much much larger share of the corruption that they participate in. They are going to LOVE monero.

By my calculations the Monero speculation thread is going to overtake the Monero ANN thread in page count in a month or two. Pretty sure this is the most bullish indicator in recent history, and likely indicates that the price per Monero will rise to match the total page count, so you can pretty much count on nearly $2k XMR by early April. Buy b42l8 and thank me later

I think this crash was planned and orchestrated, many things came together and created this perfect storm:
- The mid January (Asian New Years) sell off.
- CMC removing Korea without announcement.
- Whales dumping and weak hands jumping in.
- The mainstream media (and even Cointelegraph and others) writing fake news FUD articles every other day (whenever it went up a little). So many fake news articles: Korea bans Crypto, India bans crypto, the list goes on.
- Tether FUD. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? People just assumed that they are scammers. The reserve banks of the world print unlimited money and pump it into the economy, stock market etc. But Tether is the BIG problem?
- The 100 richest Bitcoin adresses have increased and not decreased their holdings during the last four weeks.
Anyway, this correction / crash might also be a good thing, a lot of people came in for the wrong reasons, not caring about blockchain technology at all, expecting to get rich in a few month. This might be a needed cleanse and gve a fresh start. At least thats what I’m telling myself.

I don't understand when people ask this question. The lower the price the better the buy. It's twice as good of a buy as it was when it was twice the price.
